Passbook

Hey Folks,

I was just travelling in Europe and had a situation where flights were cancelled and I didn't have a call-plan for the country I was in. The hold time with the airline due to all the cancellations was over 30 minutes. Obviously holding on a cell was not an option. iPad to the rescue! I simply connected my iPad 4 LTE to the local free WiFi and started making voice calls through Skype. It worked perfectly and got me home flawlessly. (If you don't have Skype with the VOIP features activated I HIGHLY recommend it).

As to Passbook, the scanners used at the airports have a very small opening on them. They work well with smartphones and iPods. I'm not sure the larger barcode that would be presented on an iPad would actually scan. Having said that I would still like to have Passbook simply to manage all the information in one central location.

Is it so hard to display a smaller bar code?

I would rather have all the apps (except phone) on iPad and not use them, the otherwise.
