No, didn't have anything to do with my beloved Dawgs... they will be fine
I actually thought Murray would be the starter over Mettenberger eventually anyway, cause he is a better leader (and obviously makes better decisions)

Here is the real reason... I started a new job, and it has been demanding

Actually, I got the call on a Monday and was offered the job
I started the job on Wednesday
I signed a lease on a new Condo on that Sunday
And moved the next day on Monday
That was about 3 weeks ago

And I have been in Dallas most of this week... travel will be a big part of the job

The down side is I was issued a Blackberry (yuk, I <3 my iPhone)
And I was issued a Dell laptop (at least it is an i7 Latitude with Win7)
The good news is I was also issued a Sprint Overdrive Mobile Hotspot
(which I now use with my new iPad)

My office is next to Lenox Mall in Atlanta (visit the Apple Store for lunch every day )
I am on the 18th floor overlooking Lenox Road
I have a corner office with windows
Here is the view out my window(s)

Anyway... thanks for asking about me... I will be back more when things settle down a little

Is Oban a pretty good Whisky compared to Glenlivet? I mean the 12 year old Glenlivet is not as soft and woody as the 18 year old, and I'm kinda looking for other good ones.

PS: IF you learn how to fully use AutoText [Home Screen> Options> AutoText: menu key & select New] then you won't know what you where missing.
Its not text prediction or correction ... it's the BOMB and no other smartphone has this function! I'm willing to bet that not even many of the top brass where you work has more than 3 personal entries or even aware of it.
1. You don't always have to pull the battery to solve issues (lv1 troubleshooting says so, but not always required).
2. Enable spell check before sending any emails & setup signature.
3. Ask the admin if BES wireless search is enabled, if so then you can search for any emails as part of the "Mailbox - MacDawg" on Exchange/Lotus Notes-Domino Server.

4. Don't forget to enjoy that healthy air produced by all those wonderful trees.

I didn't realize that TS is gone. I know that he was blunt most of the time (hell I got in my fair share of squabbles with him on here), but I can't fathom him being rude enough to be banned.

Although I just came back from a several month sabbatical myself, and I've been shocked to see that some of the longtime members got banned.

I've been on the forums for quite a while now and the whole 'community' has changed quite drastically. There is no longer the feeling you are talking amongst 'friends'. It's more like who's quickest to shoot the other down for pissing and moaning about the same thing that's been posted a million times.

I haven't been around as long as you, but I do get what you're saying. Before I took my sabbatical, I increasingly spent more time in the Community Discussion and PRSI area of the forums. Now that I'm back I have only ventured out of there a few times, and I flee back ASAP.

I too think MacRumors is increasingly feeling like a division of Yahoo Answers.

It must really suck not to have your little buddy around to do your dirty work.

Who cares about that kid? Not sure why people put so much steak in one of the more unintelligent members I've seen come along in a while.

Not to be rude Jessica. but your posts are often blunt and sometimes verging on rude. I do get a good laugh out of them when you go after a newbie asking why only one speaker on their iPhone works, but posts like the one above do seem to be overkill.

I miss Shortest Skil most of all. The one thread he made was probably the best and funniest I have encountered here in the past 12 months.

I suppose I miss the fake Jew as well, and iGary, devilot, lau, mr. lau, and red in the regular forums. I wasn't personally close to them, but it was good to have them around.

Finding the area under a curve, infinite sums, parametric equations... what's not to like? Plus, if I pursue computer science as a career lots of calculus is a good thing to have under my belt. Why do you have such an aversion to it?

Just to keep this post on topic, I remember Tallest Skil (many laughs at his expense), Psycho Freak (scary pig always grinning at me), Mad Jew, and katie ta achoo. Katie wrote an official MacRumors-sanctioned blog for the original iPhone as I recall. I really enjoyed those posts.
