Just the title. I could write a whole schpeal but time is the one thing we can't make more of. I am so excited for it I want to buy a dummy if they're reasonable money. I've done lots of googling and checked Aliexpress and eBay with no luck.

This begs the question of “why”?
I bought it to get a sense of what the rounded flat edges would be like in hand at that size. I'd rather find out now versus having to wait until potentially October. I'm also debating the Fold 2, so now I have a better idea of how much I would like it potentially. Plus I knew I would resell it.

Because I'm really excited for the design and want to know what it feels like. I'm a photographer, maybe I'll do some B-Roll and sell footage and then the phone.

Here are some pictures of the 12 Pro Max dummy unit.

That black piece on the back of the unit is a sticker which I didn’t realize until after I took the pics. The dummy unit is noticeably bigger than my XS Max but not to the point where I can’t comfortably hold it. I was still able to hold it the same way I do my XS Max. It’s just a tad bit taller. The squares sides are not even uncomfortable to hold. I’m now more excited than ever to have the real 12 Pro Max in my hands. I do hope that the Qualcomm modem will back in this year’s phones.

Outstanding photo comparisons. The new 12 ‘Pro-Max’ Easily look substantially larger over the XS Max. When you look at smart phones over the course of the last five years, it’s incredible how large of increase these displays/phones have become, and even if tech manufacturers can include as much New-age technology in a smart phone, if it’s too large or uncomfortable, it just takes away from enjoying the experience. But that’s just my take.

I had this same dummy unit until I sold it a few days ago. It honestly doesn't feel much larger at all. It's just a touch taller. Compared to my 8 Plus it was virtually identical with respect to width and depth.

The flat sides IMO matter less with a larger smartphone as you tend to use it with both hands. Where the flat sides will be more of a factor is the 5.4" model which is ideal for one-handed use. And that's only if you go case-less.

Feeling the dummy unit in my hand made me want to order the same day. I had no issues holding it even for a few minutes. Plus I’ll be using a case so it still wouldn’t bother me.

I'm definitely not a fan of the flat edge phone. I prefer the rounded curved edges but that's me.

I’m not a fan of them neither but if I want to upgrade then I have to deal with it. Plus I keep my devices in cases so it won’t me bother me. It’ll just make the phone bigger so I’ll look for a thin case like the Totallee case I have.

Awesome, thanks for sharing the pics! I really like this design but I'm really on the fence this year. I love the size of my Pro Max, wouldn't even mind a bigger screen, but, it's the weight that gets me. I can only imagine the new Max version will be one heavy phone. Especially with a case on it, lol.

My fiancé have the 11 Pro Max and I will say it is heavier than my XS Max. I’ve been using a totallee case for a few weeks and I love how thin it is. Hopefully they have the same case for the 12 Pro Max on day 1, because that’s what I’ll use or either this case.

True with case it should hide it. If I do get this kind of phone, I'll make sure to get a case that gives the curves on the sides. Much more comfortable to hold rounded edges.

Sorry, had a lil trouble with my first reply, had to edit it, lol. I do use thin lighter weight cases, especially in the warm months when I'm almost always in shorts off duty, but man, my PM is a heavy sucker. Unless the new phone is miraculously lighter somehow, I may even consider the smaller version. Like I say, I'm really on the fence. Last year I went Pro Max to Pro after 13 days, but back to the Max after just 3 days with the Pro. Maybe the 6.1 Pro version this year will be good for me, just gonna wait and see, I guess.

I definitely want the 12 Pro Max. I vowed to never go smaller than the Max version again. Using the X for 18 months was painful but it was a light phone as well as the XS Max.
