Thank you for the review. They don’t feel uncomfortable at all, even holding the 12 Pro Max. Maybe because it’s a bigger phone than the 4/5 series was?
I wonder what the side port is about.

I'm definitely not a fan of the flat edge phone. I prefer the rounded curved edges but that's me.
I’m a fan of the flat edge...I just don’t like that chrome finish. I realize it’s just a dummy, but hopefully it’ll have a matte brushed stainless steel finish (like the iPhone 4).
Here are some pictures of the 12 Pro Max dummy unit.

That black piece on the back of the unit is a sticker which I didn’t realize until after I took the pics. The dummy unit is noticeably bigger than my XS Max but not to the point where I can’t comfortably hold it. I was still able to hold it the same way I do my XS Max. It’s just a tad bit taller. The squares sides are not even uncomfortable to hold. I’m now more excited than ever to have the real 12 Pro Max in my hands. I do hope that the Qualcomm modem will back in this year’s phones.
Great photos. I tend to agree that while it does look much taller, I think width is the primary dimension affecting "comfort" and it doesn't look to be much wider if any.
