Just out of interest why didn't you go for the 15 inch? Same price if it's maxed out and I you get a better cpu with the 15 inch.

It definitely crossed my mind but seeing all of the issues with the dedicated GPU is a huge turnoff. I've been seeing issues the Radeon 450, 455 and 460. Another difference between the maxed out 13" and base 15" is the storage, I'd be getting 512gb on the 13" vs. 256gb on the 15". I also like the fact that the 13" has a slightly better integrated GPU. Most of the photo and video editing that I will be doing will be done in Photos and iMovie. I might venture into Pixelmator and Final Cut Pro if I take things a bit more seriously.

I also like that the 13" is lighter and a bit more portable than the 15".

I guess my only concern with the 13" is the battery life but I am the only one that can judge that based off of my personal usage.

15" - Need the screen real estate.
1Tb - I could have done with 500 Gb but that's what they had in stock.
2.7GHz Intel - Need the processing power but could have gone with standard.
Radeon Pro 460 - Really need the processing power for CAD, 3D Design and rendering.

Edit... 2.9GHz

I got the ntMBP bc I had some dough I wanted to spend, but it had to go back bc the screen started flickering after 2 days! :(

Originally got a 13" nTB 2GHz i5 8GB 256GB but soon bought a 15" TB 2.6GHz i7 16GB 256 GB mainly for the screen size. Both superb machines. Still trying to sell the first one.

I got the base 13" with Touch Bar.

The Touch Bar in itself was not the feature I needed, it were the 4 TB3-ports (and the slightly better specs). I love the option to charge from whichever side is more convenient, and of course the 4 ports give me some freedom when compared to 2 for the times to come.

If there had been a Touch Bar version without the Touch Bar but the same specs (if that makes sense), I probably would have gotten that. Having said that, I've grown to like the Touch Bar quite a bit, and can't wait to see what developers do with it in the coming months / years.

I love my space gray MacBook Pro, but it's going back tomorrow for silver, sadly. I think the space gray is a much nicer color, but it wears and scratches, and I should have thought of that before I bought it. But the space gray just looks so damn good.

I have the base model NTB but I am thinking about selling it for 1,000 dollars and getting the TB version. This cpu throttles at heat a little too much for me so I never get to use the full GHZ band.

Went with 13-inch TB MBP (3.3 GHz / 16 GB / 512 GB). Needed RAM to run multiple VM guests along with Xcode. 15-inch was never a consideration - just way too big for me.
