I'm deciding between Tongate and ESR for mine.
The ESR case is rated for 25ft and a couple YouTube channels namedropped it as a sponsor. ESR also has screen protectors and lens protectors as well. Am leaning toward this due to the drop rating, but once it arrives it'll be easier to get a feel for it. No pun intended. 25ft may be overkill, but anything to minimize the risk of a dent at even a small 4' drop means 7x-, 8x-, 9x-, etc-grade case, should hopefully reduce the chances of that compared to a 3x case.
The Tongate case is rated for 18ft. The only possible thing is, based on customer comments, that the Tongate model has a metal hinge that might scratch the phone. Presumably it's the magsafe ring's hinge in the middle, but covering that with tape and otherwise not using the hinge as a kickstand would hopefully alleviate that potential issue. Once it arrives I can confirm how it's constructed, stay tuned...
Neither has an outer shutter cover (sigh), and the one brand I saw had more negative reviews than an electron nightclub.
I almost went with Supcase as I loved the model for the S25, but it's definitely lacking the shutter cover feature.
So many brands had surprisingly bad reviews regarding material or other quality that I started to question those, but for one brand (not mentioned in my post here), I'd be in agreement.
