I always planned on buying a white iPod, then when the opportunity came around to buy my first iPod off a friend for $100 I wasn't really gonna complain that it was black. (It was a 5G video iPod) Then I planned to buy the biggest iPod they released in 2007 which happened to be the iPod Classic but they didn't offer it in white, and I didn't really care for the silver. Then when it came to the iPhone I liked the white, but not enough to wait an extra month for it, (My AT&T store was backordered on white but not black). Honestly I don't know if I would want a white iPhone, I really use to love the color white on electronics, but now I just don't really want to deal with getting it dirty and such. (Though I know the black shows fingerprints more). I think the only way I would get a white iPhone now is if they were sold out of the black, which for most things if its sold out in the color I want I will wait, but I want the black one only slightly more than the white one, so if my only option is the white one at some point, then I probably will just go for it. I like it when my decisions are made for me. (Thats probably why I am such an apple fan)

If it's just black or white I'll be getting black.

But if they do have colors this time, I'd consider them.

The last two models didn't have colors 'cause you'd see it from the side and even catch a glimpse of it from the front if you turned the phone slightly. I never expected that design to gain color.

But with this silver rim and flat back on these new phone they could have a color back where the color is JUST on the back. This is the fisrt iPhone design that Apple could consider putting color on, I think.

Will they? I have no idea. But I think they could, and that's a first.

I would not at all take it for granted that the iPhone 4 will be available in white. I would say it's about 50-50.

I'm actually betting that there will be black and "silverish." I don't know what they'll call it. They won't call it "grey" but it will be colored to look somewhat like the first generation iPhone. Maybe a little lighter.

People will probably just call it 'white' but it won't look like the 3GS version of white.

Just a wild guess.

had a black 3g and black 3GS.. Might have to go white this time around.. but there is just something about how that black one looks that keeps calling my name..

I have always had white iPhones when I had the choice, but I like the Silver back of the original, and now the iPad.

I would take the "white" one for sure - it looks more like the iPad and the Mac book Pro.

An all black phone looks too much like every other phone, or a Windows laptop...

I hated the 3G and 3GS white color, but if this white is more like aluminum silver, then I'll be getting it over black.

I'd have to see the white before I bought it. Black is always a sure bet, however. I do hold a special place in my heart for the white iPhone.

It would be cool for Apple to offer a variety of colors but in the event that they don't, I think i'm gonna go with the white one this time around, my 3G is black and i think i need to switch it up!

I've had the Black 3G, and I've seen the white 3G. I am not one for cases of any kind, clear, hardshell (even though some of those mirror/chrome cases look cool), grippy, but I always go with a skin. My experience from what I have seen is that the white iPhones tend to look yellow or the skin yellows making them not look as good.

So Black.

silver is not white. white is not silver. it's either silver or white. white cannot be like aluminum silver.

Not sure on whether I will get it yet...but if I did, I would lean toward black based on the pics posted. Now, if the front (normally black) frame around the screen was white as well as the back being white...I would TOTALLY get the white one. The reason I got a black 3GS is because the black front/white back on the 3GS offended my aesthetic sensibilities.

So, basically, make it white all over and I'm sold.
