I will remain dedicated to FireFox for ages as when 10.5.1 came out, Safari could not deal with the proxy I go through, and I posted on forums etc (using FireFox! as Safari just would not work at all - WTH, Apple?) asking for help and FF performed perfectly through a draconian proxy, so I am a convert/evangelist for that reason, let alone the addons/extensions to customise it!!

Safari until FF3 comes out of beta

I don't really understand why people wait for certain applications to come out of beta stages before they try to use it. That's definitely understandable with something like service pack update to your OS since that can really mess things up if there are issues still to be resolved but with something like a web browser it either just works for what you use it for or it doesn't. This far along in the beta development of FireFox 3.0 you should run into very few bugs if any at all. The beta is no less stable than running the final release usually.

I've only found two bugs with FireFox 3.0 so far on my part. The first being that it's not recognized as a compatible browser for Citibank online banking but I can just click on the continue anyway box at the bottom of the page. The second is that the refresh link on bidding activity for an eBay listing doesn't seem to be working. I sat there and kept clicking the link on a few different auctions and the time left and bids never changed.

I use Safari, but keep Firefox around for the odd site that has issues with Safari.
When I have to use windows I use Opera, I don't like it for Mac though, it doesn't look right and has too many features that I don't need.

Do we really need to have a thread every 2 weeks about this... On topic: Safari: I really like it!

Although, I posted here, I agree.

Methinks, the mods should merge threads like this as soon as they see them - no point deleting, just put them where they should be, just my 2 tenges worth :)

yes because habits could've changed since then!!!!

/sarcasm.

but yeah its a tad much having this come up constantly, but best to just let the thread live for a bit, and we'll get a new one soon enough.

But we will always have newbies posting these kind of posts every few weeks, and for those of us who frequent here frequently (?) it gets a bit repetitious, in other words, the same thing over and over.

Why not just merge them into a previously created (relevant) thread?

This will help citiban online banking. :)

The reason I don't use Opera is this: There is one site I visit regularly that Opera does not get along well with. It works fine for just about all other sites I've tried, but not this one.

Yeah, and there's one site I visit regularly, which is here, but I just use Safari for that when I need to, and Opera for everything else, because Opera is God and everyone should worship Opera. In fact, I think Opera should have a monopoly. Buy out all other browsers......

I use and like Safari very much, since i got my MacBook last november i have only had four crashes. Its quick and responsive and has such a clean and clutter free design. I love the bookmarks bar too, ive never used firefox but i guess anything is better than ie where everything seems to have its own toolbar.

I wouldn't go quite that far but I'm deffo a dedicated Opera user too :p

I'd been using it for about 5 years on my PC and, although there are a few key features missing on the OS X version, it's still my main browser of choice.

I use Safari for the odd site that Opera doesn't work with- including the :apple: Store ironically.

Firefox, because of Google Sync. It's a dream having everything sync'd between all the computers I use, Windows and Mac.

because of this feature, I just switched to firefox. I did notice that my MacBook runs 10 degrees warmer when I made the switch from safari to ff
