If I were Jobs, I'd have my engineers whip me up a GSM/CDMA hybrid.
Forgot to say, I doubt that Steve Jobs has only one iPhone!
My guess would be AT&T. Without solid evidence any other response would also be a guess.
Why would he need more than one?
If you live in an area where GSM reception sucks...CDMA is likely a better choice.
Competition.
I would guess if said execs lived in an area where AT&T sucked (NorCal anyone?) then they would probably have a CDMA iPhone. And if they traveled they would carry a GSM iPhone for that occasion. It would be easy for them to have 2 devices, especially since everything can be synced up on iTunes or Mobile Me.
signal problems or not....it's a safe bet that they ALL carry GSM iPhones because the CDMA Version is not been released yet...
Does it really matter which version THEY have and use?
Because he probably also has the freshest prototype of the next version.
I'd say exactly opposite. It's a safe bet that during negotiations and testing that most of them started carrying a Verizon iPhone.
I think you're missing the point of this thread. Nobody really cares and it's obvious none of us know. We are speculating merely for the fun of it.

if that were true we'd catch these Verizon iPhones in the wild...and typically only engineers test phones in development stages, not executives
Actually, I understand the purpose of the thread. What I don't understand are fans of either company telling other people what features "should" be important to them and what coverage they "should" have, etc.
Agreed. I don't care which provider they choose.
Seriously I wonder if Jobs and all his buddies have the same iphone 4's as we do, or if they get to do whatever they want with their phones, and I am sure they have some agreement with AT&T to get their stuff FREE.
