Every person who exchanged their phone in the hopes of getting a different manufacturer is an idiot. The phones are near-as-makes-no-difference identical, the only way people are telling is A: A chinese program that tells SS or TSMC and B: Another program that runs a "battery test" and spits out a number of hours that we know for a fact does not even resemble the actual battery life of the phone.

I didn't even bother installing and running any of it beyond geekbench because I'm not a f*$*@& moron. The phone works great as advertised, why would I piss myself off running dubious unsigned programs in the hopes of proving I have at best %20 better battery life?

Sucks having a Samsung, doesn't it? Don't worry, you're not alone!

I would like to see how reliable the TSMC vs Samsung scores/temp/power consumption data is with higher data points.

For what it's worth I have a TSMC iPhone 6s and I ran the antutu benchmark on my phone and it actually landed very close to their results. It's just one sample but what they are saying might just be true.
Just download and run Antutu benchmark, it had some pretty nice 3d animation.

^ He must have a Samsung.

I did run it, that's why I mentioned that I got results within a few digits of their scores. Seems like what they are saying may have some weight. It would be interesting to see if others are seeing the same numbers.

No, I actually have the 64GB Space Gray.

I got 6s+ 64gb samsung and got 59800 which is significantly less than you that concerns me

I have a 6 and I have the same opinion as that user, what now?

Implying that someone only holds a specific opinion because of the phone/chip/whatever they have is silly.

Cool. My husband and I have the Samsung chips but our phones run nice and cool and do okay with battery. Mine eats battery fast but I'm using the FB app which is a battery hog.

All I do is phone calls and web surf and emails and texts and camera and social media. I don't do demanding gaming. So I'm happy with what I've got. I am glad to hear the TSMC chip is really good. Toward the beginning of this thread some people seemed to have anxiety about it and preferred the Samsung chip. Now I hope they're cool with it and aren't worrying anymore.

Meanwhile Samsung is a good name in components so us Samsung chip folks should be doing okay, too.

The important thing is if you have a true lemon, send it back. If you've got a phone that serves your needs well, enjoy!

Why do people automatically assume Samsung's chip is superior?
Because the forums are full of armchair engineers and they think a 14nm CPU is automatically better than a 16nm CPU in terms of performance/battery life. In reality, they have no idea what that number actually means and why the Samsung could be the least efficient one. :D
Turns out i was right.

Sorry but unless you are a 6s owner, your opinions are not valid.

That's not the way it works, but good try. You just finished dismissing an opinion of a 6S owner in the comment I was replying to, so I think you just don't like it when people disagree with you.

A lone voice of reason.

Silver 6S+ 128 GB with TSMC according to the Lirum app.

Is there any correlation between storage size and the chip used?

My wife has a 64GB 6S (TMSC) while I have a Samsung 64GB 6S. At first my phone had bad battery life but with 9.02 and 9.1b4 my battery is great can't really complain. My wife says her battery life is just like her old iPhone 6. So I'm not sure what to think
