Ah ok. I installed the app yesterday and uninstalled after getting the CPU model. Battery Doctor doesn't show that Chinese app name in the process list.

you are suggesting a mostly insignificant chip delta is going to give someone an almost 70% battery life increase, or are you just throwing forum hyperbole everywhere.

Easily possible, with a different process and a different chip, iPads have hit 50% increases in battery life and Apple never advertised it.

Yes its a 6s
I had same result 4h with my retuned 6s n71ap.

After Return ive got a n71map that last 6hours but terrible backlight.

Now I have another n71map that lasted 5:50 backlight is a bit better.

I'm tired of returns atm especially with the fact that i could get a perfect display but with the bad model :)

I hope a big news source picks up on this and does more scientific tests. I think Apple should address it.

It's crazy people are repeatedly reporting TSMC having better battery by quite a bit.

Not saying Samsungs are lemons but the difference seems appreciable and not moot from what I'm reading

Did you return the first one for bad battery life? and how did you happen to get TSMC phone?

Right now the 6s spread is 70% TSMC and 30% Samsung. I have a Samsung now so if I swap it out the odds are in my favor. I just don't know if Apple would swap it for that reason until someone raises a stink about it on a large scale.

I have a 6S+ with a Samsung processor and my battery lasts all day with plenty left over. The only time in the last year of a 6+ and recently with my new phone that battery was a problem was when I was in a building for a few days with metal windows and no Wifi. The lack of signal used a ton of battery. Otherwise, performance and battery have been perfect. According to Geekbench, the only thing faster is my iPad Air 2 on the multicore test. I thought the phone might have it beat a little but the iPad is still just a bit more powerful.

Yes i've returned it for that reason but if you're happy with yours just keep it. This phone is amazing I guess i've been very unlucky.

To be honest I've noticed that my unit lasted quicker than my old iphone so I searched was aware of different cpu and I found this thread... And Did my own test.

To see your model there are free app like lirum info lite. No need to install some weird certificate...

First people automatically and foolishly assumed TSMC was inferior in every way to the Samsung SoC. Now people assume TSMC is superior to Samsung due to some battery tests where there could be many variables involved even between 2 phones with the same SoC? It was predicted days ago when this thread first started that people would start returning and exchanging phones because they did not get a Samsung SoC. Indeed, as predicted, we are seeing exchanges and returns due to SoC manufacturer now.

Mind = Blown.

I can't believe Genius Bar would take this issue seriously? I mean I get it, I'd be pissed if my battery was much weaker than it should be. But come on, it can't all be due to the chip manufacturer. Has anyone with battery issues run a battery test that shows actual battery capacity? Could be your battery has less capacity than normal.

big companies like apple, i am sure they've already done power consumption analysis between samsung vs tsmc cuz power consumption is critical for mobile devices. The result i see here about 20% battery difference is too large for apple to release the product with this difference. so I still don't think this is true. If they did well...that's a big trouble.
