On the hiraku.tw web page it shows that:
Iphone 6s has TSMC at 78.4% in phones and 21.6% Samsung.
Iphone 6s Plus has TSMC at 42.85% and 57.15% Samsung.

Looks like 6s Plus has higher percentage of Samsung chips according to this.

I have the Samsung S8000 chip.

Hey! Don't be too critical of china. The phone you are typing from is made in China, so is most of your clothing along with the couch your sitting on. Even the air you breathe is from Chinas pollution.

Im in Beijing right now and I have been the last month. I took a taxi over to one of the Apple warehouses. Looks like a Costco without any branding on it. Heavily guarded though.

Samsung chip in my 6s (non Plus). Mine does seem to get pretty good battery life.. consistently over 8+ hours usage per charge and well over 24 hours standby on top.

interesting. Unsure of how statistically significant any of this is, but I always love
Knowing more about my
Phone than I a need to.

How do you know? I have a 16GB space gray TMobile 6S Plus and here are my geek bench scores.

Single core 2524
Multi core 4400

Is there a way to know?

I installed it, wouldn't let me run it, uninstalled!

Do I have anything to worry about?
Yes, you are gullible and perfect victim for PT Barnum type scams.

On another note, would you be interested in a nice bridge I have for for sale. Connects upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan. I'm currently a little strapped for cash, so I can let you have it for a good price. You can charge a toll for people to cross. Great investment! Please send bank info and I will begin funds transfer.

At&t 6s 64gb space gray. I have the TSMC chip. Interested to see how all the benchmark comparisons turn out. I can just see the Geniuses being like o_O when people try and return their phones due to chip manufacturer.

Smart move would be to ban them from Apple Store.

So what Qualcomm LTE chip do you have in your phone? I saw somewhere on here someone said one type is better than other. Need to know before my return date passes. :)

This getting out of hand people. When next batch of countries get their phones we will go through this all over again. I can see Cook reading this and laughing himself silly. Just enjoy the phone, you only have eleven months before you will have another one to nit pick apart.

6s plus samsung here at least happy
Why are you happy? What proof is out there that Samsung is any better than TSMC? Stop spreading madness, people! My nVidia GPUs have all been TSMC and the current crop / Maxwell series kicks ass and process has been perfected. Seriously, this is going to be such a non-issue I predict.

I can see it now. Someone will search for a way to "unlock" an alleged power cap on the larger TSMC chip allowing it to outperform the smaller Samsung chip. Where will the Samsung love go then?

To the S7!

There's a reason they choose Samsung to manufacturer it. It's cause they already have a kick ass Exynos on the 14nm process. I would be pissed paying all that money and getting a 16nm TSMC chip instead. 14nm is going to draw less power, output less heat, and perform better!

Of course the Samsung chip is better in every way. Hasn't this always been the case with apple products? 2 suppliers, one is Samsung (the champ) and one is the loser. I would return it for the Samsung chip. Its the better, faster more efficient of the two. If you went to the store and bought a computer expecting an intel chip inside and came home and found out it was the cheaper AMD would you keep it?

Yes I would keep the AMD. They run cooler, can be overclocked more easily and for the most part their specs are intentionally underrated. But on a side note that analogy doesn't work. You aren't buying an iPhone expecting a Samsung chip, you are buying an iPhone expecting an A9 chip. Until people buy the phone and open it up, no one knows who is even manufacturing the chipset.
