Apparently I have the Samsung chip in my 6s+.
My prayers are with you
Apparently I have the Samsung chip in my 6s+.
Welcome to the tsmc clubYES!!! TSMC!!!
Annnd, and? Better battery life, huh?Had a Samsung chip in the AT&T 64GB 6S. No issues with the phone beyond not being happy with battery life (not necessarily blaming the chip for poor battery performance, though). Returned the 6S today and replaced it with a T-Mobile 128GB 6S+ for better battery life. It's TSMC.
He doesn't understand the reference.People don't like you in this thread for a reason
You're not making any friends

I really wish they wouldn't label it 'good or bad', there's far too little information still to call one good and one bad, and even then those terms are far too absolute.I don't know if this has been posted before, but there is another app you can use to find out what A9 you have, and it's available on the App Store. See this Engadget article for details http://www.engadget.com/2015/10/06/does-your-iphone-have-a-good-or-bad-a9-cpu/
Ok well sorry for not telling the full story:
-Bought phone full price on preorder at Apple.com
-You can return it within 14 days without any reason
After returning the phone I told the employee I wanted another one with the same specs, she looked at me like "ok..." so I told her the story (#chipgate), she didn't seem interested at all but I got my replacement right away...
Credit went back again to my CC, employee said it might take 5 days but everything went smooth.
Once I got home and crossed my fingers I found out I got a brand new TSMC iPhone#WIN
That's it.

Dang that's expensive flight. This iPhone thing getting expensiver and expensiver.Yes,in China.
Workin in the blog mines....working in the blog mines.....la la la LaaaBut then how would they get all the clicks? Make no mistake, anything that even hints at a problem with an Apple product is a goldmine for the blogs.
Of course the Samsung chip is better in every way. Hasn't this always been the case with apple products? 2 suppliers, one is Samsung (the champ) and one is the loser. I would return it for the Samsung chip. Its the better, faster more efficient of the two. If you went to the store and bought a computer expecting an intel chip inside and came home and found out it was the cheaper AMD would you keep it?
Samsung chip is 10% smaller, so 10% more power efficient, 10% faster and just 10% better. Since this is the case the TSMC chipped phones should be 10% cheaper.
Oh boy. Gonna be a lawsuit. Looks like the Samsung chip being 10% more efficient is going to get and extra hour or so of battery life and be a little quicker. We need to figure out how to identify the chip based on the info on the box so we can cherry pick the good ones from the bad crappy ones.

Yeah but for now at least he is shut upIf in the next 15 pages the tide turns against TSMC , this guy is going to be doing cartwheels in this thread
Yea after the new reports he was out like keyser soze from this thread lolYeah but for now at least he is shut up
I checked and my iPhone had the TSMC. Both chips run the same in my opinion. No lag no Bs. I believe people are blowing this topic out of proportion. Just my two cents.
Perfect example of how crowd mentality overtakes reason and things escalate in about twenty seconds to a ridiculous place; because people don't even bother reading. The discussion about the chips is not about lag. It's about battery life.

Run Antutu 3 times in a row. That's what I got on my first run but second and third runs were higher.
