It only bugs me because my battery life compared to my iPhone 6+ is considerably worse. That being said, not going to sleep over it.

My 6s Plus is blazingly fast. The difference in speed between the two chips is not enough for a human to see. Why should I care as long as my iPhone works to my satisfaction.

And it does.

This is my today's usage so far. Samsung chip iPhone 6s Plus.

Congrats to all those who contributed nothing to the discussion. As if color, carrier, or capacity has anything to do with it.

At least some people posted their actual experiences with their given CPU. The rest who merely posted their chip brand are just yammering away taking up space. The thread should have had a poll, otherwise it's meaningless. And it's probably meaningless even with a poll.
Congrats at being an *******. Check the title of the thread, most of us are just responding to that. And as mentioned by someone else, the idea was to see if different models have different ratios of samsung vs tsmc

My husband has the iPhone 6s Plus with a Samsung chip and 2 things; he's been complaining about battery life and his screen has a yellow tint to his while I have the TSMC with outstanding battery life ( I upgraded from the regular 6 Plus) and a blue bright vivid screen I've got complimented from by other users who have the new phone as well. I know the chip has nothing to do with screen color or brightness but just an observation.

Basically the same as I got with 6S 64GB samsung.

Returning mine. At worst, I'll get another Samsung, but will at least get another 14 day window to see how this plays out more.
With these two replies and my result I can confirm the Samsung chip affects the regular 6s and the 6s plus Geekbench results.

6s:
Samsung: 3hrs 50min ~
TSMC: 5~ hrs

6s Plus:
Samsung: 6~ hrs
TSMC: 8~ hrs

The question is, does it affect day to day usage?

Seems like fine battery life to me. 6s plus, Samsung variant, iOS 9.1 beta 3.

Speaking of meaningless posts...complaining about ours accomplished what? We answered the question that the OP asked.

Yeah yeah yeah, that's always the defense for threads like this. Serious research!. Whatever you say chief.

No one ever does any meaningful data collection in threads like this. It will just end up being 100 pages of "TSMC" "Samsung""TSMC" "Samsung", with lots of "My phone can beat up your phone..." and "Haters gonna hate" garbage.

I get it. Dweebs who obsess over phones don't get many opportunities in life to feel important. It's ok. Have your little chip party.

I think the only chip any of us see here is the one on your shoulder.

Not mad. More sad really. Sad to see people derail an entire forum and completely overreact over something they know little to nothing about. Sad to see people obsess over the most ridiculously granular aspect of an otherwise amazing device, which they were perfectly happy with 24 hours ago, and are now ready to return for a refund, for fear of not having the very best.

So much of what's wrong with people today is this sense of entitlement to the very best. 24/7. 365.

When the chip inside a phone elicits name calling, arguments, comparisons to penis size, references to God, and talk of class action suits, something is very wrong with society.

I wouldn't disagree with most of what you said. But you took the time and effort to criticize and belittle people who really just answered the question that was originally asked. The OP was just looking for data points. That's what we provided.

I don't care what chip is in my phone. I downloaded the app, posted the results, and then deleted the app and having given this thread another thought until you took the time to criticize me.

I've been complaining about my battery life, found Facebook as the culprit and deleted it. Battery is okay, but I have the samsung chip

When I pay near $1000 for a phone, you're damn right that I have a sense of entitlement with regards to quality.
Exactly, it's not like we were handed a free phone, we pay huge amounts of money for these things, and it's already been shown that Apple makes a killing off each sale. They can certainly afford to throw some more money into Quality Control. These things are only getting more expensive, not cheaper
