Best color IMO is Space Gray (But that's just me). I'd say go with his favorite color, but if it's neither, then stick to the one closest. I'd say probably go with Silver model as it's just the plain stainless steel which can be buffed out at a later time if there are scratches. Both Gold and Space Gray has PVD Coating and if those wears out or scratches on one spot, you can't buff out the scratches.

Really? I think with Xs they've perfected the gold color. Especially the stainless steel sides - pretty ****ing dope looking. The shimmering effect on the back glass of the gold Xs is cool too.

I think they did fine on the side, but it's definitely the back of the phone that isn't perfected IMO.

Its a matter of taste. In my case I bought a gold XS phone and a forest green apple leather case. The dark green against the gold color metal on the bottom of the phone looks very nice.

Space Gray is the safest, and beat looking imo. I opted for a silver Xs and honestly I regret the color. It’s nice at first few glances but pretty obnoxious now lol. My brother has gold. It’s not our taste either.

Personally, I don’t have too much issues with any of the colors from the X series onward as the front plate is all black for all color options.

She clearly states she’s buying him an Xs. The colors are limited.
