I literally saw "Data Plan: Unlimited $30" flash by as I ordered. Didn't have time to look anything over, in fear of being "timed out" again. So, I guess I'm keeping my unlimited plan for the time being.

I'll be damned if I'll give into AT&T and give up my unlimited data. I'm jail breaking and then I'll tether for free, without worrying about a data cap.

I'm doing 2gb since it'll be about $18 something after a service discount. I figure it's just 3 bucks more a month than the 200mb one so why not.

I will be staying with the unlimited, ever since i jailbroke my iPhone i go over 6gb a mth. (now that i took the wifi only restrictions off my apps) no to mention tethering.

Does anyone know how easy it is to switch between 200mb and 2GB plans? I heard it was simple, just a click on your account, but then you have to downgrade for the next month if you don't want it...any insight? Unlimited isn't an option for me.

im sticking with my unlimited.....I do over 2GB a week....since I have unlimited for $30 I usuallu push it to the limit and do about 4 gigs a month

Sticking with my unlimited. I have two iPhones and both will stay unlimited. I hate being limited even if I don't use it all. Lol.

My whole thing is what is gonna happen when iTunes live comes out? How much data will streaming my music cost me? I don't know if I should get a verizon account and hope for the iPhone or get on a cheap AT&T plan but not be able to get the full iPhone experience.

My usage has been varying in amount of megs used; with the ability to multi-task, I'm going to see if my usage goes stratospherically up before deciding if I should downgrade.

Sounds like you're still gun-shy from all the stories of "bricked" phones early on. That was unlocking, not jailbreaking. Jailbreaking is totally reversible. Even if you have a problem, you just restore the phone to its original state. No harm, no foul.
Just because jailbreaking has less risk does not mean it doesn't have any risk. People have made mistakes when jailbreaking and/or unlocking. I think that is the main core of the OP's concern.

I'm a new iPhone customer so unfortunately unlimited is not an option to me. So, I went with the 2GB option.

Unlimited. With all of the possibilities of the iPhone, who knows how much data people will be using months-years down the road? Gonna keep unlimited until they make me get rid of it.
