I'm mostly excited about the camera for stills 1st and video 2nd. I've already all but stopped taking my dedicated P&S digital camera ever since getting the iPhone 4 and while it's pretty great at taking pictures considering it's a phone, it's not as good as my dedicated P&S. I'm hoping the 4s will help bridge that gap and made every owning a dedicated P&S camera a thing of the past.

Beyond that it was just a way to save money per month for me.

I already have/had (sold it but haven't shipped it yet) that was pretty great anyway.

But I bought it new off contract from someone on Craigslist so didn't have a contract and my wife's Moto Driod 1 was just beyond the point of even her being able to stand using it anymore.

I started a new job this month that offers a 17% off Verizon, who is our current carrier but in order to enroll in the discount you have to sign up for a 2 year contract.

So after selling my iPhone 4 and the $50 per iPhone 4s I'll be paying out of pocket for what the difference is plus the 17% off my monthly bill per month, it'll quickly pay for that $100 out of pocket for the 2 4s's and then start saving us money per month.

Not often you can say that buying the brand new iPhone will actually save you money.

:)

Retina.
I have a 3GS :(

I had an iPhone 4 and replaced it with a 3GS in anticipation of the upcoming iPhone release and man does the retina display make a huge difference! Of course, I didn't list it because it's not 4S-specific but yeah, you're in for a great treat!

I'm most excited to just finally be getting an iPhone, but I would say I like Siri the most. Looks a lot more useful than the typical voice control on any other phone.

Camera...

I used to think cameras on cellphones was a stupid waste. Now they've improved in quality enough that I don't want to deal with carrying around a point'n'shoot, but most phone cameras still produce some pretty bad quality stuff.

Reading up on what the new camera can do, and seeing their promo photos, definitely got my attention.

Processor, having had a 3G since it came out. I don't know what I'm gonna do when the App Store takes less than 3 minutes to load.

I am hoping for better voice quality on calls. The previous generations have not matched most normal Nokia bricks or my Sony Ericsson. It is the worst feature of the phone at present.

After that capacity.

It got a little worse though. Even though the 2G talk time went up, WiFi browsing and standby went down.

Only thing that changed really was:
+ an hour of 3g talk time (from 7 to 8)
- an hour of wifi browsing (from 10 to 9)

The wifi web browsing going down is understandable since now your going to be browsing with a dual core processor the whole time. Plus, do you really need more than 9 hours of web browsing a day? I mean there is only 16 hours total in a day when you factor in sleep so 9 hours on a dual core processor is plenty for me and most everyone else.

As for standby time the difference from 300 hrs to 200 hrs is so small its stupid to even think about. Lets say you left your phone in standby for the whole 16 hour day:
- iPhone 4 would lose 5.5% in battery life due to standby mode
- iPhone 4s would lose 8% in battery life due to standby mode

A difference of 2.5% per day is not really what I would consider 'worse' ;)

Camera. Hands down. It may be good enough this time to act as a real point and shoot, but I'm skeptical. Hopeful however. The lack of low light photos is concerning but using Sony's backlit sensor gives me some hope. Wish we could start getting real control though. I'd live to be able to set ss, aperture, and actual ISo so we could get more creative.

Still. It may be 'good enough' but I'm guessing one more generation.

I cannot vote... I'm pretty excited about all of it. You should have included an "all of the above" choice.

Camera. I take lots of pics of my kids. The iPhone 4's camera isn't that great indoors. Hoping I can just carry the 4S and leave the point and shoot at home.

I can't vote. The one which I would have been really excited isn't listed as a choice - bigger screen.

I'd like to see if Siri is going to integrate with my OEM Bluetooth integration in my Audi. If I can use the button on my steering wheel to activate Siri, that is going to be by far my favorite feature of the iPhone 4S.

For me, it is being on Sprint. For various reasons I'm tied to Sprint and have longed for the iPhone to become available. I'd be happy with a regular iPhone 4, so the 4S is even better!

I can't decide between the faster processor and Siri. Is there going to be Siri for the iPod Touch with iOS 5?

All of the above.
