As the title says which one has louder speakers? X or the 8

X - It sounds nice and clear! it's also very loud on iPhone X! I think it's more upgraded. You should check out Apple website and review the technical details...

The iPhone 8 actually has 25% increase of loudness with the stereo speakers over the iPhone 7. I do not think that iPhone X sounds superior over the iPhone 8.

Why does it matter? Speaker volume should not be the selling point between the X and the 8. Never used the 8 but I can say the speakers on the X are fantastic. Don’t really need better on a smartphone.

Has nothen to do with selling point I already bought mine waiting for it to ship I was just wondering cause i played something on my grandmothers iPhone 8 yesterday and it didn’t seem as loud as my older iPhone 7 I had.

My thoughts exactly. Most of the time it doesn't. But, when on vacation at my 98 year old mother-in-laws we call our sons back in Ohio and put the call on speaker. I also listen to movies, on occasion, without headphones.

8+ plays louder, deeper and is less shrill.

That still doesn’t make sense. There is absolutely no difference internally, spec for spec between the iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X except different screen tech, and the cameras. Both are advertised by Apple to be 25% louder and better bass output than the previous generation of iPhones.

I think sometimes it’s all in a persons head.

Okay, good luck with that. It’s not like I don’t own both and hear both daily.

Dude, I’m not trying to be rude or anything. All I’m saying is that your claims aren’t consistent with apple’s specifications for both phones and their own advertising. Your anecdotal evidence for the iPhone 8 Plus’ stereo speakers being “better” than the iPhone X contradicts what Apple says about their own phones. Even most YouTube videos that have done a speaker comparison of the iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X say overall the iPhone X is louder and has more bass.

It’s cool you get to watch YouTube videos about devices I own.

Though I prefer just leaning over and listening to both.

It matters to some people like me who uses voice navigation every day.

I think all of you misunderstood me. I’m talking about the main purchase decision between the 8 and the X shouldn’t be the speaker volume. Both have dual stereo speakers. Either would be good enough in that department.

I wasn’t belittling the importance of smartphone speakers entirely. Stereo speakers on a smartphone is a big selling point for me in today’s market.

I have both devices at my disposal as well. They sound exactly alike to my ears.

Neither sound great at high volume, and neither have any actual bass to speak of.

Ok, guy. You win. Your experience trumps any facts, numbers, or what even Apple says about their own devices which they make and sell. Can’t argue with your anecdotes. Not like anyone here or even myself own the iPhone X or the iPhone 8 Plus that can confirm what Apple has said about their own devices. Nope. What you say alone about said devices is absolute and nothing anyone says even Apple themselves except you is right. Even if someone on YouTube measures the decibels on each device proving what Apple said about the stereo speakers to be true. Nope. Not even science can trump your ears and what you hear...

The X uses a different speaker design. It is more sonically balanced. It IS different than the components used in the 8 or 8+. DJwEoGgxDPb4qibs.medium.jpegxPuB214bVhLRQnuw.medium.jpeg

Have 8+ and X. 2 of each in household. 100% identical sound. Anyone that says different has a defective X or 8+.
