Nobody considering the Jaybird Freedom 2’s?

Beats Studio/Solos just get ears too hot and sweaty during workout making them uncomfortable!! Moreover unless you have big ears and/hair on your head, the headband will slide behind your head making use of barbell for squats very distracting!!

Jabra Sport Pulse I use behind the neck wire doesn’t annoy me one bit. I expect the Freedom 2’s to be similar.

As much as I would love a pair of B&Os, I’m really looking for a pair of headphones specifically for the gym. Ones I can use a little rough, are sweat resistenant, etc... but I still want decent sound, not complete cheapos. How is your experience with the Jaybird runs in terms of fit, Bluetooth connection/ drop outs, ability to stay in eat while working out, etc?

For me, the Jaybird Runs were the absolute worst. The sound was "tinny" no matter what I did with the app, and I had trouble when I wore them in the gym, and at the mall for walks, when I would get within about 30 feet of anyone else who had obvious headphones/ear buds on, they would cut out. Once, I was standing still, setting up Spotify on the phone, and they simply quit. Had to re-pair them. I have to say that the customer service was excellent, and the support had me ship them back, and I got a new pair to replace them, but since I already had the Bose Soundsport, and a pair of AirPods, I sold the Jaybirds immediately. For "rough/sweaty, etc" I like the Bose Soundsport, they're bluetooth, but not the "Free", (totally wireless), I had them cut out quite a bit also, and sold them. Overall? Either the Soundsport, or the Airpods are great, and not that expensive. I am pretty anal about how I take care of my earbuds, so I don't really mind using the B&O's, at the gym, or in the mall, and they work fine there.

Gotta jump in here with my own observations. A little background, I've either owned, or still own several sets of headphones, and ear buds. Including Powerbeats 2, Bose Soundsport, Bose Soundsport Free, AirPods, Jaybird Runs, along with Studio Beats wireless earphones. The newest, (and absolutely the best sounding) pair are Bang & Olafson Beoplay E8. None, and I mean absolutely none of the earphones I've owned even come close to comparing with these, they bass absollutely thumps, while the steel guitar on Eagles tracks is sharp, well defined, and doesn't get muddied.
A little pricey, but if you love music, these are the only ones you need.
Hi,

I bought myself the e8. How the hell so you get the bass? I have them since yesterday and they sound like the Sony one’s for 10$. The sound is clear but no bass at all, even with the presets. What’s the secrets?

The wired EarPods make more bass than them..

I have airpods and use them at the gym, ride my bike 10-30 miles, and I run with them 4-5 times a week (up to 26 miles), no issues yet with sweat. I also purchased some of these skins aka ear hooks from amazon, and these have yet to fall out of my ears. I just slide the skins on/off after each use. I've been using the same pair of skins for 2 months now and they haven't torn (amazon order below comes with 3 pairs).

I use Plantronics Backbeat Fits at the gym and they work great. I wear AirPods for everything else but at the gym they kept coming loose. The Backbeat Fits stay where I put them and never need adjusted.

I used to use Backbeat Fits, but they’d periodically unpair after running for more than 30 minutes. I’ve switched completely to AirPods.

Plantronics BacBeat Fit for gym and running outside. Over a year coated in sweat. No issues with connection or sweat. I just wipe them down after each run. They fit well and stay in. They do not block ALL sound though and let ambient sounds in, which I prefer for safety. Decent battery life too a about 8 hours--good for several runs.
