How many iPad 3s have you had in pursuit of perfection?

Ive seen people post some crazy double digit numbers. Im only on my second after my first pink screen.

Sixth, and I'm not even looking for perfection. I'm looking for something acceptable without a pink screen.

Wirelessly posted

Im on my first one, can't find a reason that is worth returning my new iPad:)
I absolutely love it!

First one. I'm taking mine back tomorrow. The screen is a pale yellow and the brightness seems weak. Today the WIFI has started to drop and ask me to re-enter the password each time to connect.

I'm technically on my 5th...I had a 32gb wifi only, then swapped for a 32 4g Verizon. That one had terrible yellow in top left portrait (had for a week), returned that and looked at two more in store and went home with another yellow one, but was going to keep that until I noticed the LED light shining through the top of the display...Then went back once more and this time the gave me just an iPad, no box or anything because there was a manufacturing defect with it so it was a warranty repair. This one also suffers from terrible yellowing on top 1/3 of the display. Really frustrated after paying ~$800, that I may just return for a refund and I've never returned any of my previous 10 apple products including an iPad 2 with back light bleed. Also I inspected the floor models at Apple and noticed that many of them have the yellowing (mostly in top left in portrait orientation). Test is to split the keyboard and drag it all the way to the top, some are worse than others, but I've yet to see one that doesn't have this issue. To those that have good ones without this problem, I envy you, lol.

Still on my first. It does have a pinkish hue when compared to my 4s but that doesnt bother me. But if I have one dead pixel, I'll return it right away.

2nd. The first one had some black specks under the glass, this one has no defects.

On my second only because I exchanged my launch ordered 32gb wifi for a 64gb 4g. Both were and are acceptable.

What?!!

Why?!!

We need to know! Just one word per model if you must but what so so wrong with so many units that you got through 15? Is the last one OK or are you likely to go on?

I sense an April Fools coming shortly.....

I sense an April Fools coming shortly.....

Well.... two people did say they got through more than 10 and I have heard high return numbers mentioned in this forum before so its not totally beyond possibility. If anyone had to go through over 10 iPads then it's probably not the iPads that have something wrong with them.

First. I love the new iPad. I might have some pink, but I don't mind. Unless you are intently staring at a white screen (which is something only toddlers do, and toddlers are just weird) you shouldn't notice.

I'm on my 2nd only because I exchanged my AT&T for a Verizon one.

But if I had some of the screen problems others have had, I would keep swapping until I got one without a problem. It's not OCD. I spent over $700 for this thing and I expect to have no problems, especially when the main selling point IS the screen. I've got what I call "old man eyes" (I wear bifocals) and if I were to notice a subpar screen, that is saying a lot.
