Which iPad 3 are you on?

I've seen a couple iPads although I only have one. I have no screen problems (dead pixels) but I feel like the biggest issues I see are dents and defects in the aluminum. My friends all have minor dents and scratches. They don't mind but this would bother me to no end.

First. I love the new iPad. I might have some pink, but I don't mind. Unless you are intently staring at a white screen (which is something only toddlers do, and toddlers are just weird) you shouldn't notice.

The obsession with bluey whites is a little odd. I found skin tones far more pleasant on my warmer screen. I'd go as far as saying its the best I have ever seen outside printed glossy photos.

Although im quite pleased with mine when i took it to the apple store and compared mine with their two display models, one was very much more pink, the other was very yellow and mine was only slighly pink. It was more neutral than the others there. The iPad 2 model where they use as a stats screen had bluey whites. There was no consistency at all. It really is a lottery

1st one, white 16gb wifi, no issues I am aware of. But then again I don't really go out of way to look for defects, too busy enjoying the beauty of the screen.

Have another one that I've yet to open.

I'm on my second iPad AT&T 32gb, first one had the pink hue on half of the screen. When I went to my local Apple store to exchange it, I couldn't make the Apple genius see the problem because it was hard to see in the bright store. But they gave me a new one anyway just to make me happy. I'm happy to say that this one is perfect :)

I'm on my 3rd.
The 1st was a perfect 32gb AT&T I got on launch day. After I placed that order I changed my mind a little too late and it took another week to get a 64gb AT&T, and that had what looked like screen separation across the top so I returned it for a perfect 64gb AT&T.
This is my 1st iPad and I'm very happy with it :D

Exchanged perfectly good 16gb white wifi-only for 64gb white wifi-only. I feel bad for wasting a perfectly good new iPad, but felt the need for 64gb as future-proofing.

On my second iPad. My first one had a yellow hue on the top left corner of the screen. This one looks great but I would have returned it until I found a screen without any issues. Don't let anyone tell make you feel bad about returning a defective product.

I'm on number 2. But it's because I wanted to move to Verizon from AT&T. Both units have been very good, however my Verizon iPad has been running much cooler than the AT&T.

No stuck pixels, good color and minimal light bleed on both.

I'm on my third.

First one was great, but the left backlight died on Friday afternoon. Exchanged it that night. Second one also had a great screen, but had dust under the glass. Exchanged that one last night.

No dead pixels or dust on this one, but seems to have a corner that is slightly darker. It's not extreme, so I'll have to see how much I notice it.

I wish the letters OCD were banned.

Just got a 64 wifi and it's perfect in every way. I'm very happy after the debacle of me trying to get an iPad 2 last year.

I highly doubt you found an ipad perfect on your first, second, or third try.

What?!!

Why?!!

We need to know! Just one word per model if you must but what so so wrong with so many units that you got through 15? Is the last one OK or are you likely to go on?

April fools, I don't look for problems on my iPad. I'm on number 1

On my second

The first ones sensor was faulty new one is fine, just wish I could get Rogers LTE to be consistent connection

Mine is NOT perfect, and I'm thrilled about that. True.

It's your typically excellent iPad, and that's good enough for me.

While others are busy inspecting, fretting, and going through all kinds of machinations ... I'm enjoying mine :D

Hate the white bezel

Was right about 2 things out of three - LTE and 32G. The White bezel was a mistake and it didn't took me long to return it.

My first one would get so hot while playing Skygamblers AS or Real Racing 2 HD, it could probably fry an egg. My second one had the LED lighting strip exposed at the top of the screen and 2 stuck green pixels. My 3rd had a huge 2" scratch below the headphone jack. My fourth had the LED lighting strip exposed at the top of the screen again. My 5th is absoluetly perfect!! No scratches, no screen problems.....just perfect.

The first one I returned without ever opening because the shrink wrap covering the new iPad box was slightly wrinkled on one corner.

Im surprised by the results. Looking at this forum you'd assume almost everyone was on their 5th device. It seems most people were happy with their first devices. I think the minority of complainers here are just the most vocal.
