Which ipad did you buy? and are you happy?

...in other words, if you're going to spend $500+ tax, why not spend a little more to ensure that you NEVER have to worry about capacity constraints?

16gb?? Are they kidding?! My iPhone is 32 gigs and my modest music and movie collection is at full capacity.

3) I got white. Never doubted it for a second. White = iPad 2. No confusion there.

P.S. I'm a chick and I waited in line on launch day for 5 hours. Worth every penny.

Shouldn't this theory "It's better to have it and not need it than it is to need it and not have it. " also be applied when talking about getting the 3G version?
I personally love the GPS and even though I don't currently have a plan on my iPad, if I do need it, it's there.
64gb 3g- Couldn't be happier.

I think the only oddball is paying 100$ extra to go from 16 to 32 but not paying another 100 for an extra 32GB. I was considering the 32 and I'm glad I went with the 64GB.. I have maybe 15GB left.
 
Bought a 16 the first day when I had a chance to get the 64. Major regret cause I realized after that (didn't do my homework before hand) I had a ton of business audio that I needed to store and the only option was 64. I returned it and thank goodness no restocking fee, but I just ordered from MacMall instead and wait it out. No tax saved me $70!!

I can use that dough to put it into a case.

I bought the first iPad 2 model I could find, which happened to be a 32GB WiFi only in black. Originally I wanted just the 16GB in white, but I grew incredibly tired trying to find one, so I settled with whatever I could get.

My local Best Buy did actually have some 16GBs w/3G Verizon, but cellular data is a feature I am only interested in having in my iPhone. My iPad rarely leaves my house anyway, and if it does, it goes into a headrest mount in the car so my baby can watch something.

In terms of storage, I think 32GB is more than I'll ever need, since I don't sync much of anything to my iPad. Everything I view is mostly in the cloud in terms of pictures. I never used my original iPad for music, and videos I keep on local storage connected to my network that I view via apps. Only exception is some videos for my baby stored within the VLC app.

I only need storage for apps. I don't know if anyone else uses their devices this way but I do. :cool: Also I'm very satisfied with the upgrade from my original iPad. The speed improvements alone are enough for me to be convinced my purchase was worth while.
 
Black 32gb Wifi. I'm happy with it, though I'm realizing 16gb probably would have been plenty of room for my uses.

I'd like to have 3g to have the option of buying a month here or there when traveling and stuck in a hotel without free wifi, but I don't do that often enough to justify the extra $129. If getting 3G was say $50 extra like on the Kindle (which includes free 3G access!) I'd probably have gone that route.

If u Bought a smart cover.. What color did you get...? and do u think it goes well with your White or Black ipad 2?

Blue smartcover. Looks fine with black.

I don't think the color combination matters much since you'll have it folded around back when using it, and can't see the bezel color when the smartcover is closed.
 
My 16GB white Verizon model will be here on Tuesday. I'm very happy with my choice and I am sure I will love it. I didn't want to give up the unlimited data on my iPhone, so I went with a 3G model. Verizon & AT&T are equally strong here, so I am happy with either carrier.

Can't wait to get it!
 
I got the 16gb white wifi. I debated on the 3G. But for $130 extra, I could by 6.5 months worth of tethering with AT&T. That's not including the $25/mo for the data plan.
 
I got the White 32 Gb Wi-fi on lauch date from Apple's website + blue smart cover which I recently returned and ordered a Yoobao case (red). Overall, I love it !!! There have been a couple of times when I wish I had 3G - namely while my kids have piano practice:D but 95% of the time, I have access to wi-fi.
 
it appears i'm the odd-ball. I have the 32gb 3g (Att). Most people here seem to have gone 16 or 64gb. I had the first gen and had a 32gb, it was perfect for me, so i stayed with the same memory and am loving it.

Oh, BTW it's a black model. :) White is for the queens!
 
Ipad 1: Wifi 64GB

Ipad 2: At first, I got an AT&T 3G 64GB, exchanged it for a wifi 16GB and realized it would barely fit my applications and have since upgraded to a wifi 64GB.

Returned the smart cover because it was a hassle and ineffective as a stand on my lap.

I went with a different approach. Out if sheer luck I got my fiance the color and suze she wanted. Had to spend a bit more since they only had the one with 3g. It should work out since this can be the ipad that we use when traveling.

As for myself I pulled the trigger on VZW's 32gb wifi deal for $400.

Love them both!
 
1. No, I like the wi-fi version due to i use my iPad mainly at my house and I have wi-fi here.

2. No, again. I have both generations of iPad, my first generation being 64GB so 16GB was fine for my second gen.

3. I got the white one, to go with my white macbook
 
Black 32gb wifi, completely satisfied.

Had a black 16gb ordered through Apple, which I cancelled when I found this one at Best Buy.
Glad I decided to go larger, not so worried about managing space.
 
Got 32g iPad 1 through Verizon wifi only clearance and I love this thing and what I love most is that my skeptical son and husband love it too in fact I can never find it one of them always have it
 
I'm Not, I got the 64 gb wifi, but its not the model its the Ipad 2 itself, the unit is faster, lighter and all but it all comes down to what you are looking at and the screen on the Ipad 2 cannot hold a candle to the original. Mine did'nt so much have the light leakage that was pretty decent. But it has a terrible washed out screen, colors don't pop, next to the original its so drab. So it's decision time
