OP...

Regardless of what other people think of your anxiousness (I get it BTW) no one here is going to be able to give you the mix on 64GB vs. 128GB. I always buy the highest amount of memory I can get and I can tell you from my past experience those are harder to get but at the same time that tends to be because less people want them.

Remembering what happened last year with the Gold 5S, what's important to me is that I have my AT&T Space Grey iPhone 6 in my hands on Day 1 next Friday.

I would prefer to keep my current 64GB capacity but don't want to find out that Apple made more 128's than 64's and experience a delay of a few days or a week, would rather spend the extra $100 for space I don't need than be the last on my block to have an iPhone 6.

Anyone have a feel for which way I should go come ordering time tonight?
Just a thought, there's no guarantee that Apple will deliver on launch day. Last couple of times, they just shipped the devices on Friday so you got it the week after launch (oh, the horror! ). If you want it in your hands by Friday, the only sure way to do it is if you line up and buy in store. Or, you know, pay someone to camp out, buy and deliver it to you.

Thanks, but half the fun of a new iPhone is the moment you walk into Starbucks and the crowd gathers. And in my place of employment being first with these types of technology matters.

Appreciate the judgement though.

BJ

Wow. That's a really sad place of employment.

Oh I understand ya now. The honest answer is that you will have to wait for pre order. First try for your 64GB and if it's out of stock before u get your order in then get the 128GB.

I'll tell u this. Usually in the past the 16gb has sold out the fastest. The highest Gb model doesn't sell out the quickest. But there has never been a 128 gb model.

I see the 64 Gb selling out before the 128. You should have no problem getting either.

Here's a free tip. Use your iPhone apple store to pre order. Will be way quicker then computer.

I'm a veteran of all iPhone upgrades since the 3G, always am hitting refresh at 3AM on the computer and using the Apple Store app simultaneously. They won't run out of stock on me.

What worries me is that gap of time between placing the order and getting the confirmation email saying the expected delivery date. I don't want to order a 64GB and find out that it ships in three weeks and read in a forum later on that the 128GB flowed through for shipment next Friday.

LMAO where do you live that people gather around you at starbucks to see your new iPhone?

True story, I live in NYC and have a beach house in Maine. I was the 3rd person in line to purchase the original iPad, waited 5 hours to do so, and that night at a local Starbucks I was Steve Jobs, people wanted to touch it, take pictures with me, the works.

I liked it.

Wow....didn't see that using the tapatalk app.

I hope his signature is a joke.

Not a joke, I assume that anyone interested in Day 1 delivery of a $500 tech luxury status symbol would understand that I one can be proud of his possessions and not be adverse to sharing that amongst others who are similarly fortunate.

When you place the preorder it will tell you the shipping time. I suppose once in a while you might get an email that says its later than estimated, but I've always had it be accurate. So just go for the 128, see what it says the shipping date is, and if it's not launch day, go for 64. Problem solved!

Once the order is placed I've used up my upgrade, thus the reason for the thread.

Before hitting the 'preorder' button, I've got to guess whether the 64GB or 128GB has the most inventory ready to ship and arrive next Friday. On the one hand, fewer people will order the 128GB so there may be more in stock. On the other hand, Apple will make far fewer 128GB due to less demand. In the past, Apple seems to have made enough 128's to have some lying around for desperate types to gobble up on Day 2 after finding that the 16's are long gone with a two week wait.

If you can afford a trophy wife (and all the stuff in your sig), you can afford buying an iPhone at full price. Heck, buy both.

Understood, but I'd prefer not to. The key to wealth is to know when not to spend sometimes.

Funny post

Thought to be serious, I expect the 128gb model to be the easiest to get due to its price and most people swinging for the cheaper ones

I dunno. I'm gonna say that BJ is a baller, not a troll. He wants a baller phone and can afford it. Ok by me.

Thank you. Don't hate me because I have everything I want.

And as far as my sig goes, I have 3 Rolexes and 2 BMW's and I only mentioned one of each, not trying to be showy here.

I'm leaning towards getting the 128GB model as a) it's going to be the least popular from a price standpoint and b) is going to be the most profitable from an Apple standpoint which means c) it'll be in stock and ship to me by Friday.

Just curious, if you have the latest and greatest, why do you only have an iPhone 5? And why not list the Rolex and BMW models you have? Why settle? That doesn't seem to be your motto.

On topic - I don't know if I want 64 or 128 as well. Game time decision.

I really hope this is all a joke.....

No one cares that you think your flush because on some planet having two BMWs makes you rich.....

The reason is everyone saying you're question is silly has more to do with you wanting to impress the Starbucks. It has nothing to do with how you can drop A single hundred dolla bill like it's nothing.

Got the 128GB model, going to have it next Friday, off to Starbucks shortly thereafter.
