SP go with the Verizon version. Differences between QC and Intel chips for this gen seems like a wash to me, but at least the QC/Verizon version will have higher resale value since it's technically the unlocked model.

I would go with Verizon or Sim Free since both are the same. Qualcomm is known to be better, but they say the difference is more negligible than anything.

To answer your question, they will both work the same. They both have the GSM bands for T-mobile’s network. Where everyone began deviating is on the minute differences...global compatibility, Intel vs Qualcomm, etc. To ensure the best experience with the duration of the phone, I would highly recommend getting the SIM-free model (effectively the same as the unlocked Vzw model).

Supposedly the Qualcomm version has the slight edge in speed in low-signal strength environments. But nothing that’s worth spending more money on if the Intel-based GSM-only model is less money for you (T-Mobile specials, etc.).

I have a factory unlocked SIM-free model on T-Mobile, but bought that mainly because there’s about a 1 in 4 chance of switching back to Verizon in the next 6-8 months (moving to a new city where T-Mobile appears to be a little more spotty). For me, price was the same regardless as I didn’t have any T-Mobile bonuses/freebies/etc. to use.

I just joined the upgrade program, I’m on TMO & Apple gave me an A1863. Is this the sim-free version?
