Which lamp should I get?

Which of these two lamps should I get for my end table?

Also you have to keep in mind how the plastic would look after a bit of use. Scratches are inevitable with this type of design.

Personally I would go with the Alien Abduction Lamp.

Plastic doesn't look good in my opinion.
I would try to look for literally, "a modern design".
But I voted for the lumiere

I like Lumiere. Not sure how plastic would respond if the lamp got really hot.

The ones on the left look too much like an upside down giant condom in a trashcan blowing into a trumpet (or a vuvuzela 🙂) So I'm gonna have to go with the ones on the right.

I voted for the one on the right by the way. The clear plastic is a no-go for me.

That lamp is amazing, but I'm trying to keep my room from looking like the stereotypical comp sci / college student room.

OK. So I bought the Foscarini Lumiere, what do you think?
The odd shaped thing next to the lamp is a to scale mockup of a Aalto savoy bowl.
