SB 13" i5. Using it for Photoshop, website design, iMovie, internet. I use it in clamshell mode at home with my 23" LCD as a desktop replacement.

Early 2008, see signature for specs.

Use it for college and everything else i throw at it, mostly surfing, listen to webradio and writing papers for school. Travels with me whenever i commute to school

It´s blazing fast for my needs and still after three years of use and abuse i don´t have the need to buy a new fastar MBP

Mid 2009 C2D (15 and the rest")

As far as the use is concerned nothing really special.. Web browsing, VLC from time to time... reading books of... err... god... that would be about it.

(also have an i5 2010 27" iMac which I use for word processing etc. - Although, now think that having two computers is really an overkill.. so from now on.. when the iMac dies... sometime in the future I hope, use MBP or its equivalent specked up and an external monitor.... a large one.. as it is really comfy for work)...

2008 Penryn 2.4Ghz original unibody with 8GB of Ram and a 500GB Hybrid HDD with a 4GB SSD chip. No complaints and no desire to replace it whatsoever (although I do have a Air for traveling and when I leave my MBP at work).

I generally run: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, JMP, DeltaGraph, Papers2, R, Safari, iTunes, Aperture 3, Skype, Garmin BaseCamp, Preview, MagicPrefs, and Caffeine.

lots of traveling for me (design/build).. i have a macpro as the main computer but the laptop sees just as much, if not more, real otj work..

15" i7 arrandale

rhino3D, sketchup, layout, numbers, photoshop, indigo (well, setups and/or in a pinch renders.. i use the desktop for the real deal)

(then some other apps that see a fair share of use -- mail.app, safari, ishowu, itunes, pages, automator, preview, dictionary, address book, keyboard maestro, ical, quicktime7, vlc)

fwiw- i waited for arrandale in hopes of getting a good priced 17" c2d.. finances weren't working out properly at that time.. ended up picking up a refurb hirez 15" last november.. i couldn't be happier-- this is one sweet machine.. it just kinda gets out of the way and lets me get the work done.
