Sorry but I don't get the point of this thread. Dont' we use it all the time? Point of getting osx and mbp.. no?

The point is really to find out which gestures people use the most, I'm going to change the title.

EDIT: Changed.

oki, so that make sense. I do also use pretty much all of it.

I mean 2 fingers are no brainer for everyone and then there's 3 fingers to move back and forth between web page which is also essential.
4 fingers to expose.. also essential.

Was there 5 fingers?(and not 5 finger discounts :)

There aren't any default 5-finger gestures, but I believe there is a program that will let you program some. Maybe Apple will add 4 and 5-finger pinch to go to the desktop in Lion to make it more like iPad? Hmm. Bleh, ever since I added the poll, people are just voting in the poll and not posting, so this thread goes down the list and then less people look at it. :(

Most used: 2 finger scrolling
2nd: Probably 4 fingers up to show the desktop, very useful when working in multiple programmes and dragging files from one to another.

It was between scrolling and Expose, but I had to go scrolling. It is the one thing I use no matter how many apps I have open. You don't even have to be multitasking to appreciate it. It's just perfect.

I use two-finger scrolling "by default", without putting any thought into it. I try to use the 3-finger swipe for Back and Forward in Safari, but I often forget about that one.

My current machine, with the 3- and 4-finger gestures, is only about a month old. I've been using 2-finger scrolling since 2006 so that one's a lot more ingrained :p

I use the two finger scroll A LOT, and I also use the 3 finger swipe quite a lot in Google Chrome, and sometimes the 4 finger swipe to show the desktop.

Couldn't live without multitouch!

I use 2 Finger swipe for scrolling as well as three fingers for going back and forth in web pages.

I tried to get used to using four fingers to invoke Exposé and the application switcher, but the keyboard short cuts and hot corners are too ingrained into my computer habits so I rarely use them.

The 2 finger scrolling is what I use most on my trackpad along with the occasional 4 finger swipe for expose.

this thread seems to be limited to the default swipes. therefore, the thread fails.

everyone get BetterTouchTool installed if it's not already. I'm using swipes to open tabs, new windows, refresh pages, open apps, close apps, etc etc etc

I have better touch tools installed only so I can middle click on the Magic Mouse and have Window snapping -- a great feature in many more advanced operating systems.

Having too many gestures to me just seems confusing and probably cause a lot of misfiring -- something I definitely don't want in regards to tab closing.

4 finger swipes to bring up the Expose'
2 finger scrolling

It's just a shame i can't use these multi-touch gestures while in
Windows 7 Bootcamp

Is there a way to get the 4-finger swipe up (or is it down) for expose to show ALL applications across ALL spaces? It only shows Apps within the current Space.

I don't have my MBP in front of me at the moment so I can't play with it to find out myself at the moment :p

4-finger drag up / down for Exposé

sweet, for some reason I didn't realize this, this is great :)

Not with the default System Preferences, however I think you can achieve this affect with BetterTouchTools.

I use two and three fingure gestures and then I go to work and my dell just doesnt do it...
