1. Nvidia GPU tends to consume more power than AMD. Even 1060 mobile version itself consume near 100W.

This is not quite true. For long time, Nvidia had an uncontested lead in things power efficiency (it might have improved since Navi though). The 1060 is a weird example since it is more powerful than Apple ever used in the laptops. Nvidia mobile GPUs that would suit Apple's needs are 1050/1650 etc. (50W TDP).

Nvidia does not allow to modify their own GPU and software(CUDA) It's impossible to optimize for Mac system cause Nvidia does not allow that while Apple wishes to customize their GPU. Most AMD GPUs from Macs are custom versions only for Mac. I highly doubt that Nvidia will let Apple to modify their hardware and software. This is why Apple left Nvidia.

Where does this insider knowledge come from? We don't really know why Apple and Nvidia don't work together right now. I guess that AMD made them a much better deal. At any rate, these Navi GPUs look beautiful.

1060 is a gaming GPU not a workstation GPU.

It's simple. Who makes Xbox and Playstation's GPU and CPU? AMD. AMD is well known for making custom GPU and CPU for various clients. Nvidia isn't. Apple made their own API base on AMD GPU since Nvidia does not allow CUDA to be modified. You still need to download CUDA driver for Mac with Nvidia GPU and this is a biggest proof for what I'm talking about.
