Space Gray Sport or Silver with Blue band?

In terms of holding up best to scratches I'd say silver aluminum def better. I have had both versions and stuck with the Silver after seeing damage people had on the SG casing that was noticeable as it scratched to a lighter color underneath. SG does look nice comboed with many bands but the fact that silver hides scratches much better was more important for me.

Also I like how the Silver casing "pops" with the black bands vs being seamless on the SG.
Not sure how they have scratched the SG casing. I've had mine over a month and wear it for everything. I reach under the lawn mower and scrape off matted down grass, worked on flooring, done lots of carpentry, hiking, disc golfing, climbing, biking, and more, and haven't got a mark on it. I've had to wash it under the tap quite a few times, but never s mark or scratch.

My 38mm SGS came in today. I'm actually really glad I went with the 38mm and the Space Gray. I've taken it for a workout already and it performed flawlessly. (I should also note that as reported it did ship with 1.0.1).

I will definitely be buying a black link band and a leather band for it.

Also, has anyone seen a third party dark blue sport band? I'm referring to color similar to the one on Mixyourwatch.com that is "unreleased".

I'm glad yours is holding up well. I have seen about 4 issues with pics of the SG casing having damage. I think one may have been a defect but the other 3 were damage done by the owner. It was enough for me to go with the Silver. I'll try to find the pics of the damage. Don't get me wrong I really loved the SG, just maybe not for me being a little OCD about little nicks and scratches etc.

Btw your list of activities makes me feel lazy :)

(Assuming you are a guy) As long as you have a black or metal band that's as versatile as you'll get. Color of watch face doesn't matter. Personally I like the stealth of the space gray and space black models.

No AW is going to look as formal as an actual dress watch so don't sweat it. I wear my AW daily w/ suits, blazers, but wear my dress watch when the fashion or situation demands it. No matter how Apple tries to market the AW it's a geek toy at every price level. Some geeks just spend more money than others.

None, you shouldn't be pairing non-sport bands with an Apple Watch Sport. It looks like a mixed bag of metal and colors, giving off the vibe that you are just piecemeal everything together as you go.

If you want the MOST verstatile options, you need to get a Stainless Steel body Apple Watch. All the major bands will mix with it and look great.

Remember, it's alright to have the higher end body mixed with lower end bands. It will not look good if you mix the lower end body with higher end bands.

I'm enjoying my brown leather loop & 42mm space gray just fine. Colleague called out I had a new band. Didn't even know they knew I had the watch. ;)

You are right. I am a guy and having worn it for two days now I'm really glad I went with the space gray. It's pretty discrete and feels a little more low key which I like. Now I just have to decide whether or I want a leather band, link bracelet, or black Milanese band (found some on eBay).

The only thing I don't like is that I can't really swim with it. I go swimming almost every day and I've seen the videos of people wearing it while at the pool but I'm not that brave yet.

I am returning my Apple Watch Space Gray Sport 38mm today. Had it for less than two weeks and already have dings under fairly minimal use. Not sure of course how or when it got dented but either way I will hold out for a Gen 2 when prices drop and get a stainless steel model or a newer Gen 2 model. I can accept dings on my $30 Timex but not this guy! Loved the watch though and really didn't want to send it back. Maybe next time.

If you ding your $30 timex, you'll ding anything else you buy as well. Stainless steel doesn't stop that. Look at any watch, even a end Swiss, that has been worn for any time and they'll have heir nicks. It's just going to happen eventually.

True but I'll feel better tossing $600 on a Gen 2 than I would this go around. I am curious to see if any type of bundle deals will be offered once the watch is sold at third party vendors in the future.
