Which SSD do you have?

I have an OCZ Vertex 2 in my MBP 13". In fact I have 2 of them running raid my MBP and it performs perfectly :D If you get one of these new Vertex 2 SSD's you won't regret it. I can't complain about Intel G2 one either as I have that one in my X201s Thinkpad and it too runs flawlessly.

Does the ocz vertex 2 not have garbage collection then?
 
Just installed the OCZ Vertex2 180gb SSD about 3 days ago. Love it so far but definitely too early to tell just yet.
 
OCZ Agility 2 120GB, got it from Newegg for $199 after rebate. Runs great. Also have Optibay with Seagate 7200.4 500GB for large VM's etc.
 
Raid in 15" mbp

OCZ Vertex 2 2x 60gb. In raid0. Never used a cd/dvd - so no brainer.

VVVVVery fast and stable!

Same machine 'Corato' above me.

Hey guys i have a question i am worried about lack of trim with ssd's

What's the best one i can get in the 256gb or 512gb area that has a garbage collection i am in the uk and i don't importing so it has to be buyable here.

I'm using a GSkill Phoenix Pro 120 GB SSD. So far, I'm loving it, but it's only been installed for about three months. I'm getting roughly 225 - 260 MB/s writes and 250 - 275 MB/s reads.

I know sandforce controllers are good for macs but no way we can get close to the ad. speed (285/275). That's why I left those in windows7 machines.

Your iPod Touch does not have an SSD. It has flash memory which is also found on SSDs.
 
50 gigger Vertex Limited Edition, i believe it used the sandforce 1500 controllers.

Good stuff, like the speed, everything else feels slow, only wish i had larger storage space, Probably will sell this thing and dump some extra dough on a new intel X25-M (of larger capacity, which is the only reason i want to sell the Vertex)

OCZ Vertex for now, but will upgrade to something on Sandforce (most likely OCZ, love their community) when SF-2000 hits the stands.
 
OCZ Vertex 2 with 1.11 firmware.

Has anyone tried putting on the new 1.23 firmware. I can't figure out how without installing bootcamp.
