I wouldn't wait either, but honestly.. it's an Intel SSD to an Intel chipset. I'm sure it gets worked out.

It's not an Intel chipset on the 510, it's a Marvel controller. Intel basically "gave up" on the fast SSD's race. For an intel controller (which is slower), I'd get the 320.

I said it's an Intel SSD. This is true.

I said it's an Intel chipset. This is also true (I'm referring to the MBP side here).

Yes, Intel did not produce the controller.. but they did produce the drive firmware and the drive itself. If they can't make their own SSD work on their own chipset then things are not good.

They also told Anand that they will be releasing future performance drives with their own controllers, so they haven't given up just yet.

Neither.

If you are still within your 14 day return period, exhcange it. Get a 128GB Apple stock BTO SSD for only $100 (depending on which MBP you got).
You will end up with the same size SSD, a slightly slower drive (to most imperceptible) with no problems that the others have - no compatibility, longevity, hibernation problems - plus you will have OS TRIM support.
All for less than half the price. :)

With the OCZ drive you don't need TRIM.
