Hello..
One question!!
do you think that the: Seagate Momentus XT 500GB Solid State Hybrid Drive
is a good option to replace my HD on my mbp 13"???
or is better to buy a real SSD?? (wich is gonna be more expensive :( )

I put the Seagate MXT 500gb in my son's 13" MBP and increased his RAM to 8gb. He has been quite pleased with the increase in speed and reliability.

I put the Samsung 470 256gb in my 15" MBP and increased RAM to 8gb and the same factors were even better on my machine.

I think you'll get the better boost with a full blown SSD and it will be more expensive. However, the MXT has worked well during his last year of college.

I plan to give him the 470 after my new 830 arrives. Been running these drives for about seven months with no issues on either.

Personally, I'd go with a Samsung SSD. If your funds are limited you won't be disappointed with the MXT. Search the forums for lots of info on the MXT as many members have posted personal results with this drive.

Go with the full SSD. You then get all the advantages of using flash memory versus a moving disc.

Best to go to Amazon and NewEgg and read reviews.

It makes shopping a much more fruitful endeavor.

I had a Samsung (SATA2, don't remember the model) in my MBP17" as primary drive and now I have 2x Crucial m4 256GB in a Raid0 in my Mac Mini Server 2011.

Both work(ed) like a charm, never had any problems.
