It's the cheesist show I've seen in awhile. Very amusing, though it's not meant to be a comedy.
From the acting, wirtting, to the direction, and the production values, just seeing this stuff is and how bad parts of it is, is the entertainment.
Though they have some interesting actors, some probably in their early parts of their careers.

I like the concept too bad it wasn't better executed.

I watched couple of episodes on Murder She Wrote based on online recommendations. I was hoping for something on a more serious note but looks like a light show with a more of a "Tin Tin" vibe to it.

One weird aspect is although the show was made int he 80s, the settings feels something more closer to the 40s. I think it has to be intentional to address the older crowds of that time.

Wasn't it a miniseries?

Or a limited series as they call them now?

🤔

By all indications, it was not... and there was no resolution or "wrap up" to anything... just went bye-bye, reminiscent of the Baltimore Colts moving to Indy in the middle of the night.

Boggles the mind that Jennifer Garner gave away two months of AppleTV as a promo for a 7-episode "series".

Couple of binges over the weekend:

Manifest - final half season. Was a bit all over the place but they gave us an actual ending to wrap things up. If you’ve watched the show to date you’ll either love or hate the ending.

Fubar - only 8 episodes but quite enjoyable, along the lines of Chuck and Covert Affairs, blending spy action with humour. Was good seeing Arnie again. Good cast and a decent casual watch.

My guilty pleasure was LA BREA - quite bad acting and CGI at times but I Like the idea of the story.

I just watched the recruit on Netflix which was good as well.

One thing I noticed is Netflix is adding shows that were cancelled after a season or 2 which is just pointless and annoys me. I have to double check every show was concluded properly before i watch.

I thought that was a good series.

Recently discovered Happy Valley, been sitting in my queue for awhile. I couldn't stop watching S1, it was great. Onto S2 now.

Enjoy. One of the best shows in recent years. Only started watching when S3 and the hype around it in Jan

Only 18 episodes I think so easy to binge

Clarkson’s Farm, rated 9 out of 10 on IMDB. Never thought I would be so captivated by a farming show, but of course it is all due to Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear. You know you're in for a rollercoast ride when he buys his first tractor - a Lamborghini - didn't know they made tractors. He is always finding another machine that he either needs to buy or rent for cutting down trees, planting owl nests, tilling soil, etc. He is endlessly inventive in finding ways to, in the words of one of his workers (who doesn't know who Moses was) to "F*** up". He works with a cast of characters who are very unusual including his stoneworker who talks a lot but no one understands. Besides being hilarious it is gives a insight into the problems farmers face, from weather, pests, government regulations, etc. Absolutely stunning video of the English countryside, farm and wild animals and fauna.

On Amazon Prime Video.

P.S. They have the name of their shop on the 2 shop doors. The left door is opened when the store opens which hides "Diddly Farm" leaving just the 2nd column of words showing on the right door.

I enjoyed the show but because of the big gap between season 2 and 3 I kinda couldn't really remember it all and lost interest a bit. I need to give it another try.

Watched two documentaries recently.

Shiny Happy People - on amazon - about the Duggar family and their religious cult - nothing surprised me but I was still appropriately disgusted and saddened. I used to hatewatch the Duggars but I stopped when their son was outed for sexual assault and CSAM. I'm still waiting for a Duggar to COMPLETELY break away and spill their story. Jill, the main one interviewed for this series, is still very religious and her husband is a bigot. I'm waiting for an atheist Duggar. Regardless, all of those children (aside from the criminal) deserve therapy and healing, and I hope they find peace in their lives.

The Curious Case of Natalia Grace - on ID - what a heartbreaking story. She was a CHILD and she was absolutely tormented by her adoptive family, especially the "mother." I sincerely hope this young woman is receiving the therapy she desperately needs to heal from such a terrible life. She was failed on so many levels by everyone who was supposed to love and protect her.

I loved that series, it’s local to where I am from too and I know a lot of people have tried to boycott his business, but think he’s great. He’s a really nice bloke away from the camera too, had a few chats with Jeremy over the years from queuing in Sainsbury’s, chatting at the bar in the Masons Arms pub in Chipping Norton, to bumping into him on the Top Gear stand at the motor show.

I am jealous. I hate you now 😂. He does come across as a decent bloke, will chat to you. He’s done a hell of a lot to highlight how ridiculous farming is in the UK mainly down to petty regulations. I hope Amazon can get over themselves and keep him and his show on.

Yeah I think the farming community are very grateful for the exposure he has given them and he seemed to get a very friendly reception at the farming awards. I've really enjoyed 'Clarkson's Farm' too, its easy to watch and funny but also given the public a glimpse at the difficulties and effort it takes for farm our produce. It has also highlighted how biased West Oxfordshire District Council can be if they don't like somebody too.

PS: Who wouldn't want to go for a pint with Gerald? What a great and unintelligible bloke, but a great character :p

Binged the last episodes of "The Goldbergs" over the weekend. Man sad to see it go, but what a ride it was. We really liked the show.
I agree - lots of fun in that one ... the writers did a good job with the transition from George Segal (Pops) to Judd Hirsch (Pop-pop) when George died... and writing Jeff Carlin (Murray) out of the script...

Manifest - I am about half way through Season 3 so will go all the way.
