Samurai Champloo.

I love the OP main character who's constantly broke genre or at the lowest tier of society. (Cowboy Bebop, Rurouni Kenshin, Gintama, One Punch Man, etc.) You know he's a man of principle on account of if he used his powers for evil, he's be the riches guy on the show.🤨 Double the fun with 2 OP, broke ass MC with the Odd Couple dynamics.😆

I started yesterday. 4 episodes so far. I would have finished the series already if it wasn't for the pesky thing call life interfering.😁

Mostly Daredevil now - 🍏TV shiws below have to wait a bit.

One to try if you like South Korean content. Just finished the series Undercover High School (2025). It's a mystery/comedy/romance about an NIS agent who is sent back to school undercover as a student, on a mission to locate a stash of Emperor Gojong's gold bars which are rumored to have been hidden at the school by its founder.

It was a comfortable length with only 12 episodes - really long series can drag a bit and make you want to skip forward, but this one moved at a decent pace. Well filmed, some good comedic moments between main cast and I even had a tear in my eye at a few scenes (that's Kdrama for you). 🙂

Consequently a number of new 'spin-off' stories based on SH, such as Watson are springing up.
The latest one is Sherlock & Daughter. This one is surprisingly interesting, and, I think, worth your time.
I think the copyright on the character expired some time ago, but there were some gotchas regarding ideas from later stories, so there are plenty of other spin-offs.

If you haven't seen them, there's the BBC "Sherlock" (very much a re-imagination, very meta) and Netflix's Enola Holmes (if you're a Millie Bobby Brown fan).

Awesome. I'll see where I can find it. Thank you.
You'll probably have to watch it on Netflix rather than - ahem - alternative sources to get the interactive version with multiple parts and endings (which was really the main point of the episode).

Probably destined to be the only memorable use of interactive TV for a while... turns out that the medium is perfect for doing a self-referential story about someone developing a 1980s computer adventure game, but once you've done that...

This episode was rough. Spot on editorial of our culture and capitalism, but the story was so sad.

The big divide on Black Mirror - tragic/shocking endings vs. happy... (well, as long as you don't think about them too hard...) endings...

...and, unlike the typical Black Mirror "you'll never guess the twist" episode, you could see the tragic inevitability as soon as the scheme was introduced....

Anyway, it's good to see that, in Season 7, Black Mirror is still gleefully biting the hand (Netflix) that feeds it...

I watched it on an - ahem - alternative source and I saw all but two of the endings. Still, an interesting episode! It's amazing that Colin just returned in 2025 without any explanation.

Currently binging American Idol, a guilty pleasure, for sure; I will admit though, there are times where I skip forward over some sections & just go to the actual performances...

I'm half way through Berserk (2016-2017 version). I have no idea what the hail is going on. It's just killing, killing and more killing. The MC wields a huge sword, it makes Ned's Ice look like a stiletto. It dwarfs Cloud's Buster Blade.😳 One swing cuts through half a dozen foes. Very impressive indeed, but what is his motivation? Why is he going around killing everything in his path? No idea. The plot has more holes than Swiss cheese.😩 I need to find the manga because there are glimpses of interesting story fragments. I need to know how everything ties together.

Anyhow, anyone thinking about watching this anime. Give it a pass, unless you like watching a lot of killing. It's all the awesomeness of a John Woo movie, without the awesome.😑

Ugh, apparently the mange is much better at least according to fan comments I've read.

I assume you meant Manga since mange is a problem with dog fur.
You beat me to it...

However, not just dogs. Many mammals, birds and even reptiles can get mange, and there is a range of manges, from the occasionally itchy to the nearly terminal.

The implication is that dinosaurs may have been subject to mange, and the concept of a Brontosaurus trying to scratch behind its ear with its hind foot is something that is currently breaking my mind.

Indeed it is. I've read 10 chapters so far. There's an actual story.🤗🤗 He kills😵 with a purpose, even those random people who are in the way. They're ******s👹🤡💩 picking on the weak. So many things make sense now.

Anyhow, I'm on the Golden Age arc. It's the MC's, Guts, backstory.

Where do you read your manga?

My wife and I are close to finishing Star Trek: Discovery. Have to say, I haven't been too impressed with this version of Star Trek.
This is the result of removing everything that makes Star Trek Star Trek. Star Trek has never been about pew-pew, ka-boom! It's a story about humanity: our flaws, our struggles, our morality, our attempt at being better than we were yesterday. Take the human element out of Star Trek and all you're left with is a run of the mill action sci-fi.😐

And they ruined the Klingons.😑😑😑

Finished The Righteous Gemstones, the show was okay but the ending was proper. Made me rewatch Vice Principals. I wonder if we will see a new project or show from Danny McBride next year.

Started the new season of Poker Face also, I still like it.

He and Edi Patterson are working on an adaptation of "The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires" for HBO, Max, or whatever brand they're trying to push today. There must be a role for Walton Goggins in that story.

TRG was enjoyable, but I liked VP more, probably because it was more universally relatable.

Finally finished the The Pitt. Wasn't expecting a lot, but still a pleasant surprise.

I've just finished Vice Principals and the other two Danny McBride series.

Good stuff. I think Vice Principals was my fave.
