Battery life so far is comparable to my 7+. Need a full week with at work to be able to properly compare though.

I’ll be glad when it settles down in a couple of days when it’s finished it’s indexing and so on.

Wish I could remember what my 7+ was getting, at the moment I’m just over 12 hours standby with 8 hours 22 min of use and I’m at 14% battery.

I’m loving this one. I use the left half so that the notch is fully in the black area.

So....I'm confused on whether to use the new apple wall papers or use one with a black background which hides the notch. What does everybody else think? Please post a picture of the one you are using.

Thanks
Seriously? Choose a wallpaper YOU like instead of doing what other people tell you to. Jeez. If the notch bothers you so much, sell it and get an iPhone 8/8+ because that notch will soon be visible in the majority of the apps you use.

Plain black as a throwback to the original and to iPhone OS 1 thru 3 when we couldn't change the homescreen wallpaper until iOS4.

Going to have to do 5 rows of icons instead of my usual 3 as seen above. With Nova Launcher on Android, you can set what you prefer like 4x4 and even adjust the icon size.

I have 36 apps on my SE, so I will need to download four more apps to keep it 20 on each page. I don't like wallpapers that get obscured by the apps. If only iOS will finally let us change the icons with icon packs.

To me, iOS has always looked a bit cartoony. I use transparent icon packs like Lines or white themed like Whicons on Android. Looks classier.

Just use black for a throwback!

I think you’ve completely missed the point of the thread. Lol!

The thread is for people with an iPhone X to get inspiration from others and share their backgrounds rather than bash the notch. The notch is what it is.

You seriously need to chill!

Clearly they don't really like the notch. Further, they seem unable to make their own mind up on whether to mask it or not. That's the point of the thread. The point of my reply was to suggest to the OP that they should do what is best for them, not what others feel is best. Yes, the notch is what it is. I like it and am happy for it to be on show. If others don't like it they can use a suitable wallpaper on the home screen at least, or if they really hate it, buy a phone without a notch.

Chill.

I am the OP and honestly have no issue with the notch either. Doesn’t impact anything I use the phone for but do like the way OLED screens can do proper black which does blend in nicely with notch and makes the screen look even bigger. Almost an illusion because it also seems to blend in with the colour of the bezels.
