is this a hardware issue?

Sent this thread and the thread on the apple support site to my buddy who works at Apple. He was able to tell me that Apple is aware of the issue. No details if 10.2 actually fixes it though. He wasn't allowed to tell me. Also, he confirmed that it is not only the iPhone 7 Plus that is affected.

Hey...nice! Always good to have the inside scoop. I'm on the same boat. I just downloaded 10.2 beta v7 and as far as I can tell, it addressed it =) So I'm a happy camper!

Yeah same here. Att is sending me a new phone (since I just bought this one) but I'm pretty sure it'll happen again. I hope 10.2 fixes it.

What size is your font set at?

Hi. Mine is set at the smallest size. I hate it when it's bigger. So glad to hear 10.2 might fix it for good. Really don't want to change font size to fix this and don't see why I should. It's been on and off again this week but today has been back to doing it.

I like the smallest font size as well. If you move it up just on notch, the flickering goes away. I just got my new replacement phone and so far so good. I'm not even going to change the font until 10.2

I'm still getting a white flicker when I quit certain apps and it goes back to the home screen. This is on an iPad Air 2 and a 7 Plus.
