White iPhone 4 Sold By Vodafone UK?

I don't think it's stupid because Apple knows people will be lining up by the hundreds on release day to get one. It is a great way to extend product life a few more months without dumping a lot of cash into a re-designed phone. By doing this they can get 15-18 months out of the product cycle instead of just one year.

How come you brits always complain about the apple tax when you made a conscious decision to purchase this device that you want, but never complain you have to pay for the royal retards you have running around?

Regardless, I'm still waiting for something exciting to come along so I can upgrade my out of contract 3GS.... this is not it!

Mmmm... do they have a choice? Can they do something about it? Not! And here in the US we have to pay ridiculous taxes for worst stuff than simply a prince getting married. So we should not talk.

Now, onto the white iPhone... do we know the reason "the best engineers" in the world could not pull this one earlier?
 
So at the risk of being ostracized, anyone else plan on swapping colors?

It's like 40p (£0.40) per year per person and brings in more than that in tourism.

If I had it my way we'd kick the royals out. They are only there because american tourists love em' ;)

And we do complain about having to pay for it. Shockingly that may not reach Fox News...
 
well, the new proximity sensor explains why they pulled all of the old white iPhone pictures; they needed a whole new set of images.

I can see why Apple would do this, especially if the rumours of the next iPhone coming in September are true. A lot of people don't know or care of Apple's release cycle and this presence of a white iPhone will certainly give a nice little spike in iPhone sales until the next gen. If peoples contracts are up and they see this new colour iPhone most will take the plunge.
 
What's all the big deal with a white phone?? Page 1? Ooo, guess what, they are coming out with white covers! and other colors too, stop the presses.

Nah, keep them but cut their funding. Make them get sponsors. "royal wedding brought to you by Ashley Madison", or have the corgies wear "kibbles'n'bits" sweaters.

I honestly couldn't agree more.

I don't care if the backside of the phone is white or otherwise-colored (hence why cases look nice and also why I think the old white iPhone3G/3GS looks fine), but having the frontside white-colored takes away from the minimalist look for me when the display is off. It also makes it glaringly obvious how little of the front face is actually used for the display and how much space is used for bezel. (Although, to be fair, I also have this problem with the new MacBook Airs, which I think are otherwise the most beautiful laptop designs I've ever seen) For me, there's something about the black bezel on the regular iPhones or MacBook Pros that trick the eye into thinking the entirety of the space is usable while in the off position, while the bezel tends to fade into the background and disappear while the displays are lit up. Something about the white bezel here just distracts me.

This is just my own personal opinion, just saying -- if you love it, more power to you and enjoy your new phone! :D
