Lol yeah. I saw a guy do this on YouTube. So that's why I posted a question haha... But I guess I was too stupid and forgot about reading the earlier post about putting it on. Thanks foe the lazy way! Haha and I believe the bak you have is the Chinese version. The Chinese version of the iPhone has different FCC markings than all the other countries

ehhh icic... thanks for letting me know... gl with ur swap

Does your proximety sensor work?

mine worked on the first kit, just not real well.

the second kit it worked slightly better. (whiter kit without diffuser).

both left stuff to be desired however.

also, as for the home button installation, I recommend removing the button and using a light heat source, as opposed to just peeling it off. That cable/port are very sensitive and you can separate the click sensor on the back of the button by pulling to hard.

When i look at my sensor it looks like theres a metal thing behind it maybe, does yours look see through? Can you see the sensor at all?

Is there like some Mylar film covering the proximity sensor? It should be blueish or something. Try removing it to see if it works

Yeah thanks! I'm also doing the dock connector and the headphone jack. Only problem is my home button was apparently shipped back to the seller on eBay so I have to wait till they ship it back out again... *sighs*

Maybe it's the iOS issue...
I think i read somewhere there is a bug on proxy sensor on previous versions of iOS4

i have iOS 4.1 installed btw

Doing the whole works :)

i bought my headphone and dock connector ports off ebay. roughly 35 total (20 for dock connector and 15 for headphone jack). i couldn't find a tutorial for the headphone jack but i heard it's a lot more difficult than the dock connector so i think i might wait on installing that part haha

Link to the exact ones you bought? Im looking to transform my iphone to full white

Write a review if they work, just to make sure that they're not duds ;)

well.. i have a stripped screw so i can't make any progress :( so i'll probably do the install monday or tuesday whenever i get my white home button. and does anybody know how to remove a stripppd screw that small? thanks! it's the rightmost screw for that one plastic thing covering the flex cable for the headphone jack, power button, lcd display, digitizer etc

Just placed an order... hopefully I can do this install with no problems after reading everyone's reply, Im kinda nervous :(

if you've had no experience with disassembling phones then it could be tough... however the iphone 4 is pretty easy to take apart compared to the 3g

I've received my white conversion parts bought from various ebay sellers. Notice some missing items during the conversion:

1)flash diffuser - I left it as it is because doesn't seem to efferct the flash output.
2)home button cable - I reuse the original by heating it with a hair dryer before peeling it out.
3)ear speaker wire mesh - I reuse the original mesh by gently prying out with a tooth pick. You can scratch the black paint off if using a metal object. I could not find a spare mesh online for IP4. I wonder whether those for 3GS would work?
4)front camera bracket - I decided not to install this because I'm afraid it might damage my original front plate if I pry it off. Anyone knows whether this bracket is really necessary?

Happy to report that my proximity sensor works.

So after about a little over 1 hour, (kept taking breaks due to my neck hurting), I finally finished the white swap from Zeetron. This process is very tedious as there are so many small and fragile parts in the phone. On a scale of 1-10 for difficulty, I give it about a 7. It's not hard when you know what you're doing, it's just very time consuming and nerve-racking. I could see myself doing this again if I had to for warranty purposes, or if I got paid for it.

I reused the grill from my original black for the ear piece, proximity sensor works, home button works, everything is working as it's supposed to. I notice though on the backplate, the writing is crooked. I don't plan on using it as I already have one from iResQ and it looks great. So that seems to be the only flaw.

Another thing that I'm noticing is that in the top middle of my screen, there seems to be a 'warm'/yellow spot whenever there are bright colors within the open pages/apps. Not to big of a deal for me since it doesn't bother me too much.

One thing about Zeetron though is that they didn't ship my package until 2 days after my order was processed, even though I paid for 2nd day shipping. So I'm currently emailing them back and forth to see if they will refund my shipping as I didn't get my package until 6 days later (5 working days).

Overall, if you really want a White iPhone 4, the swap process is pretty manageable and great looking. Just look and price different companies if you plan to do it yourself, or send your phone off to someone who does it for you. I don't mean to jack this thread, but I didn't think a new one was necessary, so I'm willing to answer any and all questions for you! Thanks for reading.

why pay 208 dollars for a messed up kit? The screen will probably only get worse lol.

How good is zeetrons customer service and how good is the back plate? All I want is a white back plate but I'm not sure. It's between Zeetron or iResq.
