Okay this thread has gotten a LITTLE out of hand with the flaming. I think this thread just needs to be closed.

Moral is that you wont be able to get a white OEM iphone 4. We've tried, and unfortunately it doesnt look possible. Anyone who has posted videos about it is just posting a converted phone with a modded OS.

See? THAT helps. Thank you.

I feel your pain. however, these guys that are telling you that there were NEVER any white iphones released and that anyone showing one on video is a conversion, IS BULL..
below is a link to a video Walt Mossberg of the WSJ did last year holding his white review model iphone. There are a few out there that were review units that were never returned or flatout stolen from the factory. If you guys dont believe that product mysteriously dissapears from those chinese factories, then just go look at a gentlemen on ebay from Hong Kong that sells BRAND NEW high end motorola two-way equipment for a fraction of the cost.
I myself am converting my black tomorrow. I'll be just as happy.

Thanks man! Yeah, I'll probably end up buying a black one and converting it. As much as I hate to do that, I have a feeling an official model just isn't happening in the foreseeable future, on a consumer level at least. Good luck with your conversion!

Everyone comes around to that point, everyone wants the real thing, but when it isnt available we get the phone plus a kit, and then lie to people saying we have the real thing :D

Kinda new here but was just wondering if anyone could explain this:

This guy also has another video on his channel with the white iPhone 4 connected to iTunes, and iTunes recognizes that it's white, therefore eliminating the possibility of color conversion.

I'm honestly at a loss as to how these people (a select few off of the many on YouTube that got the phone) got seemingly "OEM" white iPhone 4s, and none of these YouTube users seem to telling anyone where they got them. If anyone could help me out with this in any way I'd be very appreciative.

first video is a conversion

second video is a fake iPhone 4 (notice the volume buttons and style of writing on the back, also notice how he never turns it on)

third video is a conversion. How do i know? the LCD screen is ever so slightly offset and there is no flash diffuser on the back when he turns it around to show the back.

These in the videos are simply from a seller who supplies the converted iPhone 4 in White, and also somehow has the white iPhone boxes too.

I believe there are still manufacturing issues to do with the opacity of the white colour which is not matching the body and allowing the LCD backlight to shine through. Either they will release the White iPhone 4 close to the iPhone 5 launch or we will never see a white iPhone 4 at all.

That's good. Tell that mean ocean thread.

This may sound stupid but the only thing discrediting that white iPhone in the first video is when he connects the black iphone, he immediately shows iTunes and clicks around, when he shows the white iphone, he holds the camera down for a long period of time and doesn't click around. Seems almost legit but until I see a video of him clicking around then it could just be photoshop.

I think your right. Honestly though, whats the point of even faking a white iPhone. Seems pointless to me.

Cause they're kinda ballin to be frank. The main reason I want one is because the whole device is white whereas with the 3G series only the back plastic is white. I'm gonna hold off of a conversion for now and hold my breath for an official model though.
