White or Black, which one is less distracting for reading?

I don't think the white would be a distraction. I had a white Kindle and didn't even notice it.
Then I got a decal girl skin (funky and colorful) and it was also not a distraction.
I'm getting the white iPad. I think it just looks sleeker (just my opinion!)

FYI. They changed kindles from white to graphite because it was a distraction.

Trying to imagine the white peeking out under an almost-black Belkin jacket that comes halfway around the bezel (not that the Belkin would fit the new iPad as it is). Would look pretty odd.

White is a far better frame for screens, especially when reading eBooks where guess what?

Somebody said there is a reason why TVs are not white...er, well that's wrong for a start, because you can get white TVs or alternative frames for them at least. However, we don't see many because they would look **** in the modern lounge or bedroom.

Small form-factor devices like the iPad are far better suited, where the rhyme always rings true:

- Black is cack
- White is alright

Wrong. My white PSP looks as good as the day I bought it, and it gets used almost every day. Also, the white colour is underneath the glass frame, so...whatever. I guess some of us are just cleaner than others.

FYI. They changed kindles from white to graphite because it was a distraction.

Wrong. They changed it to differentiate the product AND because the darker frame gives the optical illusion that the screen is brighter than it actually is. iPad does not need such a trick because the screen is already very bright.
