I never called iTunes or Safari "stupid", nor did I say it was "useless". Stop with the fanboyish strawman argumentation. I called iTunes a vehicle pushing their iTunes Store to such a degree that I'm reminded of pop-ups and malware. And I called iTunes bloatware and feature creeped.

Just because I can't build a car, doesn't mean I can't spot an inefficient and crappy build one. It is free software and if you don't want to use itunes, then dont. go buy a zune. or a sandisk sansa. or a creative zen. and yes, ppl in the mac forums do know what a zen, sansa is.
Actually, one can use iTunes without using an iPod. You see, it's not just an iPod sync-tool – it's a media player as well.
It's funny. Once again, you prove how little you know, and the idea that the answer to everything is "go use something else" really shows your standpoint – although quite a different one than you think and hope.
Not all of us are ignorant to just an iPod. YOU knew the requirements of the product. It's your choice to buy it.
