Who else bought an iPad today?

Ordered mine on Black Friday....Apple site says "Delivers on Nox. 29 or 30th"...Today (29th) it says "preparing" for shipping. I declined the engraving hopeing it would ship sooner.

Has anyone elses BF order shipped yet?....:confused:

Edit: Just as I posted this I recieved a phone call (1st time this has happened) giving me mty tracking #...A check with Fed Ex says ipad will be delivered tomorrow!....Now I am excited!....

My Smart Cover left Osaka, Japan earlier today..., but the iPad and Bluetooth keyboard are still showing as "Preparing for Shipment" with arrival dates of Dec 5-6 and Dec 6-7 respectively.

The iPad and Smart Cover both still have the same delivery range, but only one appears to be in transit.
 
Wife wants one for Christmas so I think I will get it at sams club closer to Christmas so we can return it just before the new one comes out :D
 
Yesterday, I bought my son an original iPad 16GB WiFi for Christmas. Can't wait to see his face open that bad boy up. Santa isn't getting the glory for that one. Mommy and Daddy are! :D

To go along with our two iPad2s that we bought in October.
 
I picked up a White iPad 2 16GB wi-fi from Best Buy for $455 last week. I also grabbed a dark gray Smart Cover from Apple for $29. I have to wait until December 25th to use them though. I guess that is the bad thing with picking out your own presents.

Ya, they do actually, 180 days... Crazy!

I just bought a 16g wifi, black yesterday with a black leather cover and Applecare. I can't wait for delivery which is estimated for Monday.

Actually it's 90 days on the Ipad. That would get us to march which is historically when the new model comes out.
 
IPad (unhappy face here)

Well my wife and I bought two new 64 gig IPad's on Black Friday. Glad to get the discount. Never been an apple user before. Now I know why. THERE IS NO FILE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (I scream as I am pulling my hair out)

Finding a few work arounds but I must say, I am shocked that apple has made the IPad such a strange device. I admit it seems great for some media things, and it sure looks cool, but as a replacement for my laptop, (ok I know many will say it was never intended to be a real computer replacement) it has failed. Guess I was a little naive, but I wanted it to replace my lap top.

Until apple puts a real file management system, that works with the rest of the computer world, and makes it completely compatible with SD cards (Have they never heard of USB??? and I don't just mean the import pictures kind, I mean full data storage and delivery) they will not get anymore of my hard earned cash. Guess I should have boned up a little more before I splashed down over $1,300. Have no fear, I will continue to gather work around tips and search the world over for ways to make my spanky new IPad a real computer. Wish me luck and if you know someone at apple, tell them to get a clue about the real world and the need to play nice with all the other computer systems.

PS I need a computer to keep track of the notes needed to make my IPad work like a decent device. Anyone have a recommendation for a real hand held computer!!

I bought a 32Gb for my wife as an early christmas present. I'm glad I gave it her, because it turns out the iPad does not do what the Apple advisors said it would! Returned it within 8 hours! And will not get another until they sort out the ability to access specific files..

Ended up buying her a Macbook Air instead! So Apple end up happy and my wife too! Me, I end up out of pocket!
 
In the UK, how are iPads delivered?

Is there anything on the shipping packaging which says Apple UK or anything?

i doubt i will be in at the time, and the girlfriend will sign for it and dont want to ruin the surprise!

I ordered two & they arrived in plain brown boxes. The invoice was stuck to the box though, I guess it depends on how inquisitive your GF is. :D
