I dont know who actually can like MBA style keyboard, I was in store today checking out MBA in person for the first time, forget the keyboard, the whole thing looks like a laptop for mentally challenged. Im extremely glad with Apple's decision.

Having used both extensively, I couldn't disagree more. The MBA, in my opinion, if far and away the best keyboard that Apple has ever put on a portable.

I love the MBP keyboard, never typed so fast in my life. The many times I've used a MB keyboard (never tried MBA) I've liked it, but my MBP felt a lot more rugged and comfortable TBH.

I'll be picking up a new MBP 2.5 as soon as they land in Iceland. :D

yeah but it also has to be aesthetically pleasing ...

The new style keyboard in the MBA and standard MacBook are fine for consumer products. How many business or professional full size notebooks don't have a full size keyboard?

The MBA keyboard is full size.

I DO want a MB/MBA style keyboard on the MBP as the MBPs keyboard feels like soft mush - rather like the old iBook. However, that doesn't mean I'm cheesed off with Apple = they do still make some great products. It also means I get to keep $2000+ for another time..

I'm relieved actually, that Apple kept the case design and keyboard the same. I think the MBP keyboard looks and feels more professional than the MBA keyboard.

agreed. theres just something "PRO" looking about the MBP design . while the MBA keyboard is really cool and awesome looking as well, it just doesn't fit the right image for a MBP.

here are some features i want in the next MBP keyboard:

- an easily cleanable keyboard. i am not a fan of things getting trapped under the keys.

- the silver keys to match the case (unless we get a whole new case redesign!)

- the option to set the backlight on individual keys to a different color... i think this would be cool for some reason :p. or maybe we will have dynamic keyboards by then.
