Earlier versions of 3.0 were more stable, but Beta 5 is crappy. Very very slow.

This. I keep running into a bug where I go to unlock my phone, it will stutter and I completely lose signal for about 45s.

Very annoying. Heres to hoping the new one comes out tonight.

I kinda get that too, without the loss of signal... it'll make the unlocking noise a few times and it'll overlap...

This topic is first result on Google for "hajed"

Google's pretty quick indexing macrumors - about 5-10 minutes sometimes. So has anyone confirmed the actuall date the beta 5 will cause your OS 3.0 (testing) handset to stop working?

stop workking tommorow? what does that even mean? i really doubt it would stop working tommorow...

It means it stops working. You get a message that it's expired and then you sit there and look at it incredulously because you blew off the part of the web site that states it's for dedicated development phones only. A friend was 10000 miles from home without his laptop when his stopped working. Bet he doesn't do it again. :D

and then what? i just wait until beta 6? how do i put 2.2.1. back on?

have a little faith.

do you guys really think that apple would so such a thing?
I'm sure that apple will seed a new release before the time-bomb goes off in the current beta.

chances are, the June 19th date is correct.

i just set the time on my iphone to june 6 (when i get back from vacation) and it still works

not going to test it any further though

got some pretty sick usage stats though

Why wouldn't Apple put it out? We need it. To many people are losing service

Beta 6 might not be out until WWDC. This is due to the fact that if it was to come out today (highly unlikely looking at the time) then we would have a week only until WWDC. For some reason I believe the day after WWDC

But lets hope I am wrong and its actually out now without me knowing. I have to go check engadget and gizmodo.

That makes sense. At WWDC they announce the new new iPhone and show off a tweaked/redesigned interface for OS 3.0, 'available today for devs' and a month later for the general public.

Not a bad idea. They MAY have something bigger planned for 3.0 that will make everyone say "What's a Palm Pre?" :D
