Anyone else going to wait a month or so to upgrade? I'm so over being the first to get the latest and greatest iPhone. I'm very happy with my 7 Plus. If I do upgrade it won't be for a few months. I'm so over getting up in the middle of the night or standing in line just to have something on day 1. Life's too short for that crap. Apple will get my money soon enough, no need to be the first to give it to them! ;)

I would say...

I am going for the iPhone 8. Given all new redesign with bezel less OLED display it's going to be a huge upgrade for me over my iPhone 7 Plus.

ok? feel better?

i've never had an issue on the pre-order. i'm on the iP6 (so yes, upgrading ASAS) and IIRC, i woke up and pre-ordered through apple.com without an issue. went back to bed and got it delivered to my door the following week. been doing that since the iP4 i believe. never had to wait in line. life is too short...but you're complaining on a forum. go live life then.

Koop-aid? You do realise that the 8 is going to be a BIG update.
Yes, for Apple die-hards it will be. For people who have used Androids it won't be. I've had wireless chargiing/ fast charging and edge-to-edge displays before and no home button. It will still be the same grid of icons just in a slightly different form factor and at a more expensive pricepoint.

PS- Your spelling blows.

On preorder day, I'm just going to wake up when I normally wake up (probably around 6:00 est, so 3 hours after it starts), order online, and let it be delivered to me.

If you plan to get it, what's the point of waiting months when you can probably get it within the first week by going online for 5 minutes? People only wait in lines because they want to. It's not the only way to get it fast.

Ah now I understand why you created this thread, it's to troll.

P.S your rude! Oh and if my spelling is that bad I wouldn't be using it to make a living

It's "you're" rude. And you use your spelling to make a living? Too funny...

Yes it is, that one I'll accept as auto correct fails me sometimes! yes I do but what's even more funny is the fact that you are on a forum not only attempting to correct people's spelling (I'm guessing that the first time you was referring to my spelling of the word realise, yea the reason I don't spell it realize is because I'm British) but also seemingly trying to troll people over a phone that's yet to be released. Nice job  have a nice day!

Spending 30 mins once a year online to upgrade to the latest and greatest iPhone is hardly a hassle. I don't care that I'm one of the first to own a product, I care that I'm the owner of a product I really want as soon as I can be.

So I'll happily try to order the phone when pre orders start.

And enough of this "Android phone have this feature, Android phones already have that feature". So what, I want those features on an iPhone which I personally find better to use than any other phone.

What I don't understand is your topic title makes the thread sound like you are wanting to upgrade but then your post is like Fk-it I like the the phone I have so why bother. Then your post make you sound like an Android user who is just here to troll.

I've been holding off upgrading my 6 for a while. Will wait to see what the new units formally announce as feature sets and how far 7 prices drop while people dump inventory. Most likely get a 7+ at discount wait a few months if the 8 and 7S are significant enough jumps and hand my 7 over to wife or son. Plus that should get me past any production "quirks" of the first rushed orders.

No, trying to balance out the forum from all of the 'OMG how can I pre-order before its available to pre-order so I can get it the day before it comes out because it will change my life' threads that inevitably show up this time of year and will dominate the forums for the next month or so.

The past several years, I have waited until the hoopla dies down to purchase the new model. Depending on what the new models have feature wise (not including the iPhone 8, since I'm sure it will be out of my price range), I may just hold on to my 7 and SE. But if I do get the new model, it won't be until November or December.

The more I think about it, this year it might be a toss up between upgrading my iPhone or Apple Watch (SS series 0).

Iphone 8, AW3 and ATV 5 if they release that as well

Thats pretty much my shopping list although I don't know if Apple is going to sucker me into another new AppleTV. I did finally get a optical fiber break out for my AppleTV 4, I like to watch sports but listen to music at the same time.

I bought every iPhone on release day since the iPhone 4. This year, I want a phone with a stylus so if Apple doesn’t deliver I’ll probably pick up a Note8. The 6s+, 7+ was boring and I’m not shelling over $1000 for another boring iPhone.
