- The shape of 3G S is more streamlined, less tapered towards the edges compared to 3G. I've always thought the bulge of the 3G made it look funny.

- Heavier. Yes, heavier can denote better quality. The lighter weight of the 3G only made it feel more plasticity.

- Chrome lettering (personal opinion, of course)

- Less fingerprints thanks to the oleophobic coating. Fingerprints tend to ruin the look.

Shape is also exactly the same.

Chrome lettering and fingerprint resistant screen are nice though.

Now having come from an old 2G iPhone, I find the 3G/3GS shape to fit better in the hand. I do miss the aluminum back though.

It's all in your head dude.

This says nothing about being more or less tapered towards the edges. I already know it's the same thickness (depth) at the center.

See this. When I first got my 32GB 3G S, I was wondering why it wasn't more tapered towards the edges. It looked more like the 1st gen iPhone than the 3G.

I have a 3G and 3GS sitting on my desk. I just took a sheet of paper and wrapped it horizontally around the curve, and marked it on each. Exactly the same. Then I did the same vertically. Exactly the same.

Same circumference, same dimensions. Same to the naked eye.

But, then again, you claim you can feel the 2 grams difference in weight, so you're clearly just making stuff up.

It's the same damn shape, stop it. And you can't tell the difference in weight, seriously, you just can't. This is all in your head.
