Who else wants a 4S with the guts and size of a 5S

I think the implication here was more because people like the 4/4S design. Not someone designing a "sleeper" smartphone.

Wouldn't the iphone 5S be better built exactly like the 4 or 4s but with the same guts and hardware ?

Ive would not go back to a Jobs' design. From now on, it's ALL HIS, new Ive's, no sharing credits.


But yeah in my dreams, I would buy one, no question asked.

When I got 5s, I thought the same- glass coating on the back and no need for a case. The case tend to cover up the wonderful finish of the iPhone. I got gold 5s and am still looking for the perfect case just enough to cover the aluminum without blocking the gold color and without feeling plasticky. Glass coating like 4s would have solved all that.
I haven't used 4s, but if you are concerned about dropping it and shattering the glass, wouldn't the same apply for the front display glass? How does it help with aluminum back when you have got front glass panel?

I'll take the guts of the 599 GTO in form of a 250 GTO, thank you very much. Actually that's blasphemy.

The 599 is hideous, and has been replaced by the F12, which isn't any better.

As I'm currently dependent on the 30-pin connector (there isn't a Lightning component video cable available yet, and I use my 30-pin one a lot) I'd love an updated 4S.

I definiatly like the design of the 4s, however i do think the aluminium back of the 5 and 5s is good since it cant shatter. I like the black iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s though becuase you cant see the metal as much and it looks much more sleek and eligant. I dont like the bare aluminum on the white iphones because itis a different color of the rest of the phone. Also the 4s was kinda heavy and fat (although im sure apple could fix the fatness/thickness isue)

I liked the white iPhone 4. I had the black iPhone 4 because it was the only one available when VZW got the phone and it was so-so. I liked the white iPhone because it looked like the older iPods, mainly the 1st gen the way the bezel shadowed on the glass. So beautiful. Of course, the 5 and 5S still have the "Bezel Shadow", but because the glass is more recessed in them, its not as noticeable.

I probably wouldn't buy an iPhone 4S with the iPhone 5/5S guts and screen. The iPhone 5 has really grown on me and while I didn't exactly like it at first, I've grown to love it.
