I set my watches in two different timezones. First I had to figure the time back home since they'd already gone back and I was going to call first thing in the morning their time/late SF time. Then we had to go round my friends' house and change all their clocks. I think I'm sorted now... (except for here where I seem to be changing things at the wrong time by 8 hours)

Plus, yeah, it's nice that many of the modern devices here (like the Macs, as mentioned!) set themselves automatically.
Interestingly, mine didn't set itself. Must be a preference somewhere. But yeah, my friend woke me up an hour early this morning so I wasn't too happy.

All fine with putting my clock back, but about three years ago I forgot to put my clock forward – unfortunately, on the Sunday I was off to visit my parents and so I arrived an hour later than I was supposed to. This hilarious incident is recounted endlessly each time the clocks are changed...

Advice...

This might not get a lot of notice on this thread...but i would like some advice...

I am SO TIRED of noisy quartz wall clocks. Anyone know what I mean? The ones that go "CLICK CLICK CLICK!" They get annoying. Does anyone know of a company that builds quiet ones and not the loud ones you get from discount stores. I know I have a nice Howard Miller desk clock that I won as an award and it is very quiet, but I assume they are an expensive brand.
