Just out of curiosity, if you bought a non-smart watch, would you be doing this as well?... Spent two hours last night applying a screen protector and full body skin. Looking forward to using it later.

Anyway, hope you enjoy it.
Finally got my 42mm S2 regular stainless on white sport band yesterday (12/27). Ordered 12/16. Wasn't expecting it until January, then UPS tried to convince me it was coming 12/23. It didn't. But happy I got it so close to xmas (even though it wasn't exactly a xmas gift). Spent two hours last night applying a screen protector and full body skin. Looking forward to using it later.
Well how does it look?
Are you changing the band color?

Looks beautifulBut per my other thread, the white sport band seems to have some really faint bluish blotches. Only been 24 hours and it hasn't really touched anything but my hands. No denim. Odd. I do kinda like the white, but wouldn't have chosen it for this reason in the first place if I'd had an option. Will probably play with it for a few days and see if I get a hankering to switch to the space black with black band.

Tough decisions. The Black Stainless is compelling with the DLC. But I love the regular stainless the best. Let us know what you decide upon keeping.
Will do. I guess I've got a couple of weeks. Need to head up to the Apple Store and check out the black again, while giving myself a few days to play with and get used to the regular stainless.
If you can, try to look at the black stainless in different lights. It really looks different and changes hues. Underrated, but it influenced me to when purchasing it. It darker lighting, the black stainless looks Jet glossy Black and it more ambient lighting, it appears more dark gray mixed with black.
Thanks for the advice. I went ahead and placed an order for the black today. I imagine if I change my mind I will have plenty of time to cancel over the next several days. Otherwise, the replacement will get here sooner. But I'm thinking I personally will get more enjoyment out of it because I won't have to worry as much about the finish. I did get the skin on the current one and it looks pretty good (can't really see it). But ideally I think it works best without one. I think with the black, I won't feel compelled to use a skin. Plus the DLC seems like a premium technology for the same money. Both are beautiful though. Don't think I'll realistically ever be decided for sure one way or another. I should own both![]()
Consider yourself lucky. I ordered a new series 2 from b&h on November 27, 2016, today is December 30, and it still hasn't shipped.I got a new series 2 to replace my series 0. I got mine from b&h. Only took about a week after I ordered it for them to get stock. I'm really happy with it, better screen, battery, and waterproof! Definitely worth it![]()
Yeah I had no idea stock was still so low. I've been shopping for a week to replace my SG S0. I originally wanted a black SS S2 and my delivery estimate from BB just got pushed back. I settled for a SG S2 when some popped up at a local Apple Store a couple days ago but now I think I want the black SS after all. I've been trolling online constantly checking the Apple Stores here for stock and I went ahead and ordered one for delivery (2 weeks) from Apple online just to up my chances.Consider yourself lucky. After last Christmas, Fitbits were effing everywhere. I remember more than half of my coworkers returning from holiday with one of those things on. Didn't see many Apple Watches.
A year later and none of them are wearing their Fitbits anymore, and a couple of them did get AW's. In just the past week I've seen a large increase from what I'm assuming is Christmas AW gifts. Of course, I also live in a heavily populated city.
No new AW for me, still rocking my day 1 Series 0 Sport. Series 2 wasn't quite enough to make me want to upgrade, but I know for a fact that if Series 3 is tempting enough, I'm going stainless steel.
Looks good. I have the SB SS, got it with the black Sport band. Which I'll use but also picked up a different color band which I'm pretty happy with. Except the pin isn't black! Why does Apple make most of the sport band pins in Stainless.
Keep the white for rare occasions and get what ever color band you prefer.
The stainless model is definitely worth it, especially with the sapphire display. But I agree, I and I own both generations, that the series 2 isn't really much of a massive upgrade, as it is incremental. But generation three Apple Watch, when it does launch, will be a huge jump in a redesign, health advancements, and overall internal/external features. The Stainless steel has a nice premium feel to it.
I haven't tried the SS model on yet, but man does it look nice. I made the mistake of judging it based on the renders from Apple's website. Very foolish- it's very nice looking in person. On one hand, I'm glad I didn't spend ~$600 on a first gen watch, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit jealous of those who did.
I think people got the idea that if they got a Fitbit, they would get "back into shape" or some other reason. Problem is, most people have trouble sticking to resolutions and if you give up on tracking your fitness, the Fitbit becomes nothing but a stick on your arm that has no appeal or good looks. It can't do much else either... to the junk drawer it goes. With the AW, even if you give up on fitness, there is at least more uses and it looks good. I saw the new Gear S3 - bragging that it can last up to 4 days on a single charge - 2 days with always on display. I am 6'3, 220 and it was enormous on my wrist - more like a Garmin or similar. Couldn't get it to fit under my shirt and Jacket! Of course the battery will last two days with an always on display.
