I may go the reverse route. Is the plus too big?

Apple "improve" 6+ to 6s+ on functionally, but weight and form factor actually taking a step back. 6s+ is both heavier and thinker than 6+. Not too much, but noticeable if you handle 6+ previously and transition to 6s+.

Look for 7 with overall weight reduce, thinner, and hopefully edge to edge screen which will allow narrower phone to be easier to handle with one hand. And if Apple could come up with new material change provide good grip without case, and also strong enough for drop/dent resistant on the case and screen (some kind of liquidmatel?), it will be like 1/2" reduction in width for naked 7 (or with very very thin case), compared with 6s+ with drop protection case, which is big different for one hand.

We have 2 phones. Every year we sell the previous phone for more than we pay for the new phone. It was easier back when AT&T let you upgrade on contract every year. A new phone was $299 and the old phone would sell for $500 to someone on Tmobile.

Now I have to finish paying off Next. It was around $300. Then get them to unlock the phone or sell to someone on AT&T.

This year my 6+'s sold for $500 each so I still got $400 more than what it took to pay off the old phones.

Trading up every year is the only way to go. If you wait two years your phone is worthless and you end up spending more and having old hardware. Doesn't make sense when you actually make money by upgrading.

Great point! On Verizon, once you pay off half you can just upgrade for free with trade-in, which is also a no-brainer IMO.

The 7 will have to be quite compelling to upgrade from 6s. Likely, I will wait until 7s.

Have a '6'. I just bought a '6S+' as part of the final ATT 2 year upgrade announcement a few weeks ago. Decided the money I could get selling it was too high and sold the 6S+ and will use the money to buy a 7.

I am looking forward to it for a few reasons. One is I am looking to move up to the + Series. I got the iPhone 6 and am wishing i got the 6 Plus. Two I am really curious of which rumored improvements actually make it into production. I currently have a lifeproof on mine and wouldn't mind the waterproof rumor to be true. I wouldn't mind dropping the big case.

I am still on the fence about continuing to use iOS ever since I switched to Android. I'm really enjoying it a lot. I'm open to using iOS again, but the removal of the headphone jack is enough to make me stay away from the iPhone 7 if it happens. If anything, I'll most likely be upgrading to the next Nexus unless Apple provides me a big enough reason to switch back to iOS.

Im on a 6 Plus and depending on what the 7 brings to the table, I may hold off on upgrading.

I upgraded from the 4 to the 5: LTE
I upgraded from the 5 to the 6: Larger screen.

at this point, I cant think of anything else I would want in a phone.

I was .... until 3 days ago.
Was planning to keep the 6 until next Christmas, and then buy the 7.
But I found a good deal on a 64 Gb 6S (150€ off the standard price) and I couldn't resist :D

I have a 6S and I'm waiting for the 7 but then I'll be waiting for the 7S and then the 8 well you get the picture.

I stayed with my 6+ 128gb because i bought it off right. Just took a look at my sprint account and it says i am eligible for an upgrade with a 2 year agreement or if i want to use the iphone lease. Indidnt know sprint still had the 2 year contract? Guess because i didnt use it to buy the 6.

Ill be selling the plus and going for a 7 for sure

Though I don't have 6s Plus but I would love to hit a purchase on iPhone 7 as I heard that it comes with 64 in-build storage.

Couldn't justify buying the 6s last year so I'm hanging on to my 6 Plus until the 7. Best part is I had it replaced by Apple this past weekend for a dodgy screen connection which was causing the touch screen to stop working intermittently. Amazing Genius replaced it out of warranty purely cause I bought it directly from Apple! Always a good experience at the Genius Bar!

So its been a few months, and now the iPhone 7 is looking to be not quite as exciting of an upgrade as we thought. The design is likely gonna be pretty much the same; the camera is looking to be the only feature that seems exciting to me; also waterproofing, if it does indeed happen. What does everybody think now?

I have the iPhone 6 Plus and I'm going to upgrade to the iPhone 7, I don't care if it looks like the iPhone 6 I actually like the design of my 6 Plus so I will probably be picking up a 7 Plus or an iPhone 7 Pro (if the leaks are true).
Personally I think the iPhone 7 will have more features than what has leaked so far, let's not forget that we are still 4 months away from the iPhone 7 event and as we get closer we will probably see more and more leaks. I do think that if Apple keep the same design as the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, then they will add more features or something that makes people want to upgrade. OR it could be that what we have seen so far are in fact fakes and the real iPhone 7 is a change in design.

Those are some great points! I do like the design of my 6 too, and I also still plan to get an iPhone 7, probably the Pro model cause I want to try the bigger size. And yeah, we never know if Apple will surprise us with new features.

I had a 6 128gb but upgraded to the 6s last month because I wanted to shoot 4K videos in Dubai. Sold my 6 for $420, the exact same price I paid for it on CL in September 15. Was able to get a 6s 64gb through bestbuy and Verizon for $590.

Nice deal! I could see how the 4K could be very important for sure.
